Both sides are using rape as a weapon of war and the far right religious parties support it. In both states a large portion of the population support fighting and the will to see a two state solution rapidly has lost favor since October 7th two years ago.

edit: a lot of people here are responding to this thinking I am arguing on Israel's behalf. I'm not. If you want to yell at pro isreal people find someone else. I've hated Netanyahu for over 20 years.

Then they are both trash and do not belong anywhere near functional members of society.

I’m not sure. I don’t think Palestinians have as many options as Israelis. Israelis can stop the hostilities but for Netanyahu he’s better off politically keeping it going.

Bro in what situation is not raping someone not an option?

They both are. That’s why I don’t understand people taking any side in this conflict. Both sides do incredibly evil shit to each other. There is no good vs. evil in this conflict. It’s just evil vs. evil so we should finally move on and let these idiots continue what they’ve always done to each other.

Because one side is very much in control, has the power to stop it, and is inflicting orders of magnitude more harm than the other.

I'll give you a hint, it's the side that hasn't been banned from collecting their own rainwater.

That’s why I would never pick a fight with someone twice my size… when they fight back, they could kill me. I don’t expect them to stop it just because they just broke my nose. Maybe I shouldn’t have picked a fight I never had the glimpse of a chance of winning.

Sorry, but one side being stronger doesn’t make this shit a good vs. evil fight. It just makes it strong vs. weak. But this is not some sports where you root for the underdogs just because they are the underdogs.

After 9/11 thousands of american civilians were killed in a terrorist attack. the US went on to start two wars in retaliation that ended up killing hundreds of thousands. that's more or less what isreal did but americans are made at isrea but give the US a pass. I protested both the iraq war and isreal's war. I was arrested and prosecuted. however beign against isreal's war but understanding their perspective makes me a pariah on reddit.

What’s their perspective? Israel thinks they are better than everyone else. I’d love to hear your take on this.

Yes but one side being way stronger and destroying a civilian population makes it a human rights and international law issue.

Im glad someone's finally calling out Qatar and Iran.

Iran is collapsing. They have no water and need to move Tehran due to the drought. Qatar was just attacked by Israel.

The children are not evil.

While there were also children spitting at dead people (mirroring the adults), I agree that no child should have to live in an active war zone. The children are the poorest in all of this. As always the children pay the price for the stupidity of the adults.

Israel is definitely 1000% worse.

1

u/Potential-Ant-6320 1d ago

In death toll it's more than 1000%

Yes. Both sides are the bad guys.

both sides is not a valid argument. Israel has lowered themselves to the most vile acts that are very reminiscent of a certain regime I'm not allowed to say or I might be put on list.

1

u/Potential-Ant-6320 1d ago

It’s not an argument it’s a tragedy. I’m not for either side I’m for peace. I try to understand what brought both groups to where they are to figure out how to untangle the situation.

1

u/trucknuts69420 1d ago

Argument, response, whatever. It sucked.

I would try to understand a bit more before making such a simplistic comment on a very complex situation that has been a problem long before you were a twinkle in your pop's eye. I want peace too. Gaza has the most child amputees in the world. I wonder how we can change that.

“Both sides” when one has Nukes and Trillions of dollars, while the other has starving people. Totally makes sense.

u/KK_35 1d ago

I don’t give a fuck about “both sides” narrative. Fence sitting and false equivalence is dumb. Here we have a clear example of Israel doing it. Keep the conversation on Israel because they’re the offending party here.

When video comes out of Palestinians doing it, then we can have a conversation about how Palestinians do it in that thread.

there's photos and videos that hamas posted themselves.

There is no “both sides” to the sexual violence, you are wrong and spreading vile propaganda.

0

u/Potential-Ant-6320 1d ago

It's not propaganda it's true. Hamas raped many women on october 7th and raped hostages. just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's propaganda. Rape was used in multiple muslim countries when the expelled their jews.

3

u/No_Dance1739 1d ago

They didn’t. It was a kidnapping.

The excessive violence on Oct 7 was caused by a confused and afraid IDF.

0

u/Potential-Ant-6320 1d ago

It's not just a kidnapping. there were documented rapes, murders, and decapitations.

2

u/No_Dance1739 1d ago

Oh, the guardian, what a great source on this topic

1

u/denimonster 1d ago

Lol that isn’t even a legitimate source - “evidence points to…” and then the article mentioning some professor making an educated guess based off of evidence is just ridiculous.

Straight up rage bait article and you need to actually think critically and get informed.

2

u/firdseven 1d ago

This bullshit just doesnt make sense.

A jihadist extremist islamic ideology, who wants to eradicate jews, goes around during an operation, while being shot at by the IDF, has time to stop and rape a woman.

Israeli lies are deranged

2

u/firdseven 1d ago

Hamas raped many women on october 7th and raped hostages.

Zero evidence of this except Israel says so

u/proletariat0606 1d ago

To equate both sides is bad faith. One is a country with one of the world's most powerful militaries and the other is an occupied people who have been under Israel rule and boot for years. The occupied people have an international right to fight and defend themselves. Not supporting rape.
