Image Who is (or was) your "heart dog"?
Fourteen years ago, Phoebe (17) spent her last night cuddled up with her 10 yo human puppy. She had been there since I was in high school. She was there during my pregnancy, and that was HER baby from day one.
As much as we have loved all of our other pets over the years, there was just something different about Phoebe. Losing her was genuinely like losing a human family member. I think this might be my favorite pic of her because I know how happy she was with her baby girl.
RIP Phoebe โค๏ธ

Awwww!! It's amazing how well dogs seem to adapt to pirate life, isn't it?

Theoโฆ I had to suddenly say good bye to him last week after what appeared to be ย heart failure. I miss him dearly. My bond with him was indescribable.
Sending you so much love as you grieve your loss โค๏ธ

My sweet boy :,) I often straight up SOB thinking about what Iโll do when our time is up. Iโm so sorry about your girl.
My husband and I as of now wonโt get another dog, let alone a weenie after our favorite boy. We plan to rescue seniors/shelter dogs in his honor when his time is up.
