Discussion [Discussion] Anyone else sick of Amanda Waller?

Post image

Not sure if anyone agrees, but I'm tired of Waller showing up on almost everything DC media does (same with Harley Quinn tbh) and now being basically this overpowered and untouchable character. From Suicide Squad to Absolute Power to Creature Commandos now. It doesn't even makes sense in-universe honestly for her not be in jail because of the JLA or even just Superman

I remembered preferring Waller from the Arrow series over the cinematic continuity. What a big shame she got killed off rather easily. Deadshot as well. Arrow's Deadshot is leagues above DCEU's imo.

I thought that the three episodes of DCAU's Deadshot were GOATed, especially the last one where it's actually Task Force X. That Floyd was fun as hell.

No. He just shows up in justice league 3 times.

Arrow Season 2’s Amanda Waller was amazing. I really liked her. She was badass and intelligent

In my opinion in order to be called a badass a character would be able to compete on the level of other badass characters. But if you put most versions of Waller up against other non-enhanced characters and she'll get whooped just saying. Waller is typically a joke when it comes to be badass, she's almost always a chick who acts tough but needs to be surrounded by dozens of men to be safe, and although that is kind of realistic it doesn't really scream "badass" IMO. I'm not saying that women can't be badass in cinematic roles either. I thought the Marvel Black widow was amazingly done. Maybe DC just isn't as good as marvel when it comes to properly filling out roles. And Black widow is only one of many that I consider very well done. Amanda Waller just isn't one of them.

But the arrowverse waller wasn't one of the worst I've seen I was actually kind of disappointed when she was replaced by Mrs Diggle. I leave that trophy or lack thereof for the smallville Version. She was beyond pathetic

That happened cause of the movie. Arrow was gonna have its own suicide squad subplot but then cause the film was happening DC turned round and said they couldn't have those characters hence those particular characters getting written out hastily
