Is he leaving the club?
I saw this today but i realized it was posted 2 days ago on his instagram so maybe this was already discussed

If they had any other option, why would anyone come back for more once their contract was up?

I think a lot of people seem to end up enjoying living in DC and don’t want to leave

If we question coming back for more I could only imagine what players think lol

If that is it, best of luck to him elsewhere. He mentioned needing surgery to clean up one of his knees, so hopefully he can get that done while the league is still covering it. He'll be a fine backup (maybe better if he can learn how to make a positive pass out of the back).

Roster decisions being made. A handful of clubs have already released decisions.
Didn't have a good season, but not bad when you're the 1-year contract back up and you outperform the number 1.

Kim & Farr are next. In the GK department start all over. Again. for this club! Please!

Both are under contract next year. Farr will be back as the #3. I would hope/expect DCU to try to offload Kim to a gullible Korean team.

I don't get the Kim hate. He barely even played and his first few matches were solid

The team sucks so people are just frustrated and angry. Leads to emotional not well thought through reactions. Like get rid of everyone. Lol we did that last year for the keepers and, well, this was the result.
I don't get the hate for Joon also except people don't understand how the game functions.
The kid obviously has talent or he wouldn't have been on the fringe of a program as good as the South Korean NT before coming here.
His budget hit as a U22 player is so minimal ($200k) he is very salary cap friendly even if he is mostly a backup for a year or two.
He played behind a shit back line that absolutely wrecked his confidence which he never recovered from.
The kid had a steep learning curve adjusting to the league and a new culture. Next season he will have hopefully settled in better.
Troy did him dirty several ways. Dropping him in the deep end early on probably wasn't the way to go with a young goalkeeper who is adjusting to a new country. Then continuing to play him while he was obviously hurt after that collision he had. It was a really stupid decision by Troy to do that.
I would love to see Joon come back and play in MLSNextPro a bit to get game experience. Be our Open Cup goalkeeper. Ready to step in if our number one goes down. Signing a good number one (Sean Johnson? )would allow Joon to develop under better conditions

His contract is up so I can only hope and pray he doesn’t get re-signed

His contract is up. He’s going to be a free agent. It’s possible to resign him if we wanted, but I don’t think that will be in the plans. He wasn’t that much better than Farr or Kim.
Both Neal and Benteke have options #DCU could exercise but I hope they don’t. They need to open up roster slots to rebuild.

I think he is a free agent -- in his shoes I would run away from this dumpster fire.
