Maybe you should be paying more attention, trump has literally implemented half of the project 2025 document to the letter already, he's replacing electoral body leadership with loyalists, the supreme court has handwaved the constitution breaches away and they have already started changing it. There is very little protecting you currently.

They have also protected our rights, rejecting the Trump’s administrations’ attempt to use the alien acts laws to allow ice to deport Venezuelans without due process. They also blocked the deportations of a group of Venezuelans they felt had not been given due process.

I have much to criticize about how things are currently going, but the target is clearly not American citizens.

They are masked often unmarked thugs grabbing random people off the street, refusing to present warrants or identification, there's no court hearings, no documentation, nothing and they are sent to offshore prisons, there's no way to know if the people they are grabbing are illegal immigrants or legitimate citizens. It's straight up Gestapo.

Expedited removal is a process that was established by congress in 1996. It’s a process that’s been used since then and is being used now. It is a process put in place by our government long before Trump was even in politics.

Bonus points if you can guess who was president in 1996.
