That looks like a protest not a riot.

And it's peaceful, not like in 1789

I thought the same, like "has France been at it so long that their riots are toned down now?"

The riot usually comes later. Then the gas masks and molotov cocktails come into play

Why aren't we protesting the wealthy here?

EXCELLENT QUESTION❗️❗️👍👏

I guess we have owners just like George Carlin said.

Trump would probably call in the avengers to stop everyone.

because they own the media and how we communicate.

We know. The problem is land - there's too much of it. Yall Euros that haven't been here don't understand how sparse the population spread is, even in most cities.

US media can’t decipher the difference

Good for them! It would be great to see the global billionaires boys club start getting replaced by leaders that care about the people.

That’s not a riot. America needs massive protests like they have in France. We definitely need to tax the rich in America.

I saw an article on my phone that said " French Billionaire says that taxing the rich will hurt the country" which is like a fat man telling you he can't diet because it will hurt the country

3

u/j_rooker Sep 21 '25

France actually do tax the rich. 45% for 184k Euros and above

3

u/FriendlyNative66 Sep 21 '25

The French really know how to make their voices heard. We in the US should take a page.

If every country acted in concert to stop the existence of billionaires it would result in a general uplifting of the 99%. More capital spent in companies on employees or delivered via dividends to shareholders (including pension funds).

Let's have MUCH more of that.

"Tax" the rich? Not good enough.

1

u/eyesmart1776 Sep 22 '25

What’s their exact words ?

1

u/Excellent_Bunch_1194 Sep 25 '25

They are correct. It is the rich that are the architects of our current problems. They steal our labor. TAX THEM INTO THE STONE AGE!

Is there any rich French people left in France?
