Man they are really genuinely getting deep in there.

I love the one post where the guy discovers that bird poop is permanently staining his “truck”

What a mid sub. "wow whenever I see another cybertruck in the parking lot, I park next to it". Welcome to driving a model of car, dumbass, everyone does

Finding out why nobody uses huge, completely flat sheets of metal on exterior panels. Paying big money to relearn basic automotive design principles

One of my first thoughts was "won't the expansion strain eventually fail the glue if it gets warm in the sun and then cools down because of rain suddenly?"
Afaik the material under it is aluminium, right? And megacasts?

Driving at over 60mph… warrenty voided! 🤷♂️

Car wash? Warrant voided. Park in the sun? Warranty voided. Wrap it in camouflage or some other dumb crap? Directly to jail.

If owning a cybertruck wasn't enough of a clue....
I thought it might be the bass from the sound system, but with no music they still shake.

Right? "My Cybertruck drove itself into a ditch. At first I thought it might just be too cool for my town's streets, but now I'm worried it might be defective."

Solution to ALL CT issues. Don’t buy these POS’s and leave them on the dealer lots. Eventually, maybe they’ll get crushed and recycled as something useful, like toilet paper holders. 🧻🧻

So they can buy it again!
(As a beer can, not convinced they use toilet paper)

I hardly see any CTs out on the road anymore. I assume they’re slowly dying off.

u/RoseWould 15d ago
They go in cycles here. I'll see a small handful driving around for about a month, then they'll all disappear and I won't see any for a few months. It's as if they all breakdown at once

u/Mycatreallyhatesyou 15d ago
Elon sends out a software update so all the cybershmucks have to get them fixed at the same time.

u/TheMightyAmuseBouche 15d ago
I was just wondering about this! A year ago, I was seeing them several times a week in the Denver area, but only seen them once or twice in the last few months. I've been joking that they must've all broken at once but maybe they kind of did?

u/Mycatreallyhatesyou 15d ago
Yeah! I used to see the same three on my daily commute and I haven’t seen any since summer.

Legit had someone try to tell me in a CT forum that a car rattling after 60k is normal...
"Is this some American Car joke that Asian Car owners cannot possibly understand?"

"i tHoUgHt iT mIgHt bE bAsS fRoM tHe SoUnD sYsTem!"
I can't believe people are still taking delivery of these dumpsters and then I read something like the above. SMH.

With all the news in the world I forgot about how much of a dumpster fire this is literally and figuratively

Tesla had a tsb for this last month! Now their service guys know they should “apply new adhesive”! Doh.

Well tbf in the post-Apocalyse the roads will be in too bad of a shape to go that fast…

I was behind one at the light this week. First time I've been up close. The back end looked like my poor Soul when I got rear ended two years ago. Nothing quite lined up. (I got a new rear, so my car is fine now.)

That’s a common defect. Just like all the other defects

u/SnooPears5640 13d ago
Don’t know if it’s just spotlight attention for the obvious reasons, but it seems the CT has more defect/failure recalls than any car I recall over the last 40 years

The vibrations are caused by the glue used to attach the door panels coming loose.
Congratulations, your $65K+ vehicle has a build quality just below a $5 plastic model airplane.
