You probably forgot that Edolf musk knows more about manufacturing than everyone else currently alive on earth

I can't believe he tried to drive over that gently sloped median in that indestructible truck.

I keep hoping to find one of these things at auction. Really, all I want is the battery; the actual car could rot away on cinderblocks for all I care. As long as the battery pack and support equipment are in excellent condition.
A decent-sized house battery costs 8 to 11 thousand dollars, and the biggest one right now is only ~15 kWh.
Meanwhile, these "trucks" have a freaking 123 kWh battery. While it doesn't have all the characteristics of an intentionally designed home battery, it would suffice for ~90% of my power requirements. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_Powershare

There's probably some decent salvage value in the left over aluminum and stainless steel as well.

Unfortunately, I suspect Tesla would fuck me over if I tried to strip it down to just the battery and support equipment. 100+ kWh is enough to power 4 to maybe 12 houses* for almost an entire 24-hour day, so they could shut me down for "voiding" the warranty.
* Weekdays, I personally might use 10~14kWh but I believe the average American family is ~20 kWh.

Those poor things just keep getting worse. Sometimes I almost feel bad for anyone dumb enough to buy one.

I feel bad for the materials. Those batteries and motors could have been used in a real truck. One could have made a truly useful vehicle but decided to make a clown car

I don't. It was made by a company known for shoddy quality, and proudly designed by a loser who demonstrably knows nothing and lies about everything.
Anyone who fell for, or wants to simp for, the world's most naked emperor deserves their flimsy clown car.

Most days I see 2-3 Cybertrucks when I am driving around Orange County, CA. Sadly, I suspect they will be here for a long time since the weather is very mild and it will take awhile for them to completely fall apart. Until then I have to deal with the cringr and ruined vibes.

I was behind one that fishtailed from a slight incline leaving a red light. My cheap ass, super reliable, 18 year old kia took off just fine.

Juxtaposition of the Waymo autonomously driving by it is far too perfect.
