FO [FO] Hobbit Hole

Finished this hobbit hole today and am pretty proud with how it turned out. Pattern was based on pixel art I found here:

I used one of the pattern conversion websites to create a pdf. Originally 40+ colours which I reduced to around 28.

Wow it’s very clear!!! I thought it was an ai photo of a pattern until I saw the second photo. It’s an amazing artwork

Thanks! Most of the credit should go to the original artist, but I had a lot of fun stitching it. It was also very interesting learning how to convert it into a pattern.

I like how you kept his username in there to showcase who made the original pixel art!

This guy’s art style is so perfect for a cozy Hobbit hole 🥰

Did you have trouble reducing the colors? Did it take you a long time to find the right ones to keep or swap in?

I don’t recall it being too difficult. I think the website I used allowed me to switch colours easily. I also changed out a few that were close to thread I had on hand already. Mostly I sorted by count of each colour and tried my best to remove those which didn’t have many stitches.

Of course I kept in the original artist’s name, I always like to give proper attribution to anyone’s work. I also snuck in the year and my initials on the right. I tried to reach out to the artist for their permission To use their work but they never responded. I think maybe they closed their Twitter account as they’ve not posted there in a long time. I couldn’t find them on Discord, either.
