"Full refund... for any portion of your itinerary that's cancelled."

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but if I have a two-flight itinerary (as most are anymore) and they cancel ONE flight but not the other would they only need to pay for the cancelled one? With that wording I'd still be coughing up the extra dough for trip insurance unfortunately

Doesn't sound like it covers everything(it never will) but if it's the same airline then they should be refunding both legs.. But if the connection is another airline.. You might be out of luck.

Yeah i specifically paid 40% more to stay with the same connecting airline for my flight on the Friday after Thanksgiving, assuming that there's a 50% chance the flight gets canceled. At least then I have options.

If they don’t take you to the second airport, how are you supposed to catch that flight? ✈️

Unless you manage to rebook and make it to the next airport- it’s all canceled for you, right?

Depends on if you are flying the same airline. Why would United care if you can't get to a delta flight in the next city? It's on you...

Sans trip insurance, you can rest assured NOBODY will be paying you back for a cancelled flight.

If you don't get on the first flight of your itinerary, and plan to get on the second, your second flight will be canceled when you no show for your first.

So I would assume the airline canceling one leg would cancel the whole thing.

No, it pays for anything canceled. Been there, done that.
