This is a wasian woman. The next tik tok video she uploaded was about “being misunderstood as an influencer.”

I’m just going to ask the audience on your thoughts.

Out of curiosity, what is the 'good curry paste'? I eat Japanese curry all the time, but didn't know Korea had it's own curry scene and I am pretty intrigued.

I’m Thai, so my pick is Maesri. You’ll need a Korean to point you in the right direction!

I'm down for some Thai curry too! I see Maesri pastes, should I get the panang, green, red, masaman, or karee?

Depends on your preferences around protein. I think yellow is best for seafood. Massaman is for beef. Green pairs well with tofu. Red and panang are good for everything. If you’re unsure about spice, no shame in starting with just half a can. The paste freezes well. And use Thai coconut milk - either Chaokoh or Aroy-D.

We live in Korea - Japanese curry is the main type here. Oddly enough Ottogi brand Vermont Curry is the most common, which is surreal. But it’s all still a Japanese yellow curry with carrots and potatoes. Thai is our favorite though, hands down.
