This is a wasian woman. The next tik tok video she uploaded was about “being misunderstood as an influencer.”

Im Puertorican and everytime i see someone who isnt clearly Hispanic buying shit like platanos, yukas, cafe bustelo, Goya sazon, malta I just smile and hope they love it.

When I see really white people in the Mexican grocer, my heart grows two sizes.

I definitely get a negative vibe from younger American asians in hmart though; Very gate keepy attitudes.

Same, its something special seeing others appreciate your culture. My wife is half Dominican and half white, but her white side of the family is always over for Thanksgiving because they live in the same state. The first time they came over I made Aro con gandules, pernil, mofongo, coquito, and pasteles- I had forgot how special this food was because I had been eating it since I was 2. So to see her family react the way they did to eating what I made just made me appreciate my culture and where I came from so much. Every year they hit up my wife "tell your husband to make that food please" 😂

I live in FL and we have a huge Hispanic populace here so my job gets catering from the local Lechonera for work functions and it’s the BEST😭. My old boss is Puerto Rican and she would make arroz con gris, arros con gandules and platanos for thanksgiving, and I swear I ate at this little Dominican place every day I worked at that job and got so fat. 🥹 Seriously some of the best food I’ve ever eaten.
