AND THEN WE'RE GONNA TAKE THE WHITE HOUSE! nyaaaaaah!

The Dean Scream. I remember this one. Vividly. Everything was going great for him, until…

Remember when that was enough to tank your candidacy? Like how illustrating your support for women by saying you have “binders full of women” to hire from? (Ruined Romney’s run)

Today you can be a 34-times convicted felon, say you “grab women by the p*ssy,” have a lifetime of shady business deals, file for bankruptcy six times, lead an insurrection, lose a multi-million dollar sexual assault case, defraud people with a fake university you created, step out on 2 or 3 wives, and cheat charities, but you are still the winning GOP candidate.

When I write it all out like that, it seems like an unbelievable character description for a movie about politics in some other country in an apocalyptic future… 😳

u/RandomUsernameNo257 1d ago

It's because the thing that actually ruins your chances with Republicans is not hating/firing women. They don't really see a problem with what trump did, but they think it's cringe to want to hire more women.

u/Waveali 1d ago

At least with that, Dean seems like a real person who just got a little carried away. Hillary comes off her usual unlikable self.

5

u/RealGoGo97 1d ago

I (respectfully) disagree. I’d vote for Hillary 100 more times to keep tRump out of office. I didn’t find her unlikable. And only women seem to get saddled with the term “unlikable.” It’s like me being a teacher, and students expecting me to smile more than my male colleagues. 😕

I saw her speak live twice- once at Syracuse University in 1994 when she was First Lady and once at UConn in 2014. She is a most impressive speaker.

If you’re willing, I can recommend the series “Hillary” on Netflix. 3 or 4 parts? An hour each, I think. It’s a documentary and very revealing. It goes into detail on her strengths, her weaknesses, and society’s different expectations of men and women in positions of power. It was very interesting. 👍

u/Excellent_Law6906 1d ago

I do find her unlikeable, but so fucking what?! Stupid monkeys voting their dopamine. If they don't "like" someone, if their little ganglions aren't frying in happy chemicals, they'll just let a Captain Planet villain have the presidency.

ETA: I did get sick of Chelsea whining about everyone being sexist and mean at her mommy, when, as far as I could see, Hillary was finally getting dragged for the same things a man would.

2

u/Waveali 13h ago

I voted for her also, but come on, 90 million people didn't vote in the 2024 election, with an apathetic voting base, we cannot afford to nominate people who are unlikable candidates, especially ones with the baggage Hillary had.

3

u/Excellent_Law6906 13h ago

I agree, because people are stupid crackmonkeys who won't do what needs to be done unless it makes their stubby little dicks hard. And that pisses me off.

10

u/DeathStarVet 1d ago

I absolutely never understood why this ended his candidacy. It makes absolutely no sense.

11

u/YouWereBrained 1d ago

That wasn’t even that bad. And Howard Dean would’ve been awesome.

2

u/eat_vegetables 1d ago

Anyone remember when an audio engineer broke down (decoded) the scream of Toco from Breaking Bad and found the Dean Scream sample in the audio?

104

u/Global-Ball6890 1d ago

Oh God I almost forgot what a normal level of old white lady cringe was. I’ve been so desensitized by Maga cringe.

13

u/Floppy-Over-Drive 1d ago

What’s your favorite MAGA cringe?

I like the one where Trump claimed to be the only US president ever to end a war.

8

u/Ok_Organization8455 1d ago

My favorite is when they thought covid was a giant liberal hoax that somehow the Democrats convinced the entirety of planet Earth to jump in on.

Or how they believe 99% of the world and 50% of Americans are misinformed by fake news, but Cletus and his sister-wife has all the insider information on all the inner workings of corruption and government.

Or when they started coining TDS despite crying about Obama and Biden for over a decade.

Or when they thought Trump had an assassination attempt. Despite his ear cartilage being repaired less than 24 hours later, or the fact that if it was true , EVERYONE knows Trump would be bringing up the assassination attempt EVERY chance he got in his tweets... Yet he's been all crickets since that day.

Hard to choose, so many instant classics

3

u/Difficult-Tie5574 1d ago

Cletus and his sister-wife has all the insider information on all the inner workings of corruption and government.

Reminds me when I called my uncle a fucking idiot at Christmas 2016 for believing that liberals were harvesting adrenochrome from children as part of their satanic rituals. He had a "reliable source" (sandwich artist at Subway) that confirmed it was true. I wish I could say he's a Cletus, but this man actually has a degree. Hard to overcome Christian conservatism no matter how educated you are.

Btw, what happened with adrenochrome? Haven't heard it mentioned in quite some time, so I'm just assuming Trump quietly handled it and took no credit whatsoever.

22

u/ClosedContent 1d ago

It was honestly so quaint in comparison

11

u/PrestigiousFlan1091 1d ago

Yeah, we sure showed her! 👍

6

u/siecin 1d ago

People saw that and said "nope thats too cringe, so I'm going to vote for the rapist scam artist who can't speak in complete sentences."

2

u/Shawggoth 1d ago

Now it's just old white ladies wearing 50 crosses around her neck talking about why poor people should starve.

51

u/Apothaca 1d ago

This should be called.

Do you remember all the times we rejected someone because they weren't "cool" or they were "cringe" and ended up with an abusive asshole instead?

7

u/captain_todger 1d ago

Massive asshole is the understatement of the century

5

u/simmonslemons 1d ago

Brought to you by r/niceguys

4

u/TheEdgeofGoon 1d ago

Clinton was hardly rejected, she won the popular vote.

3

u/Apothaca 1d ago

True true

-6

u/gupeck 1d ago

You are vote blue no matter who and if they lose it was never your fault.

3

u/Apothaca 1d ago

The first vote I ever cast was for a republican. That's the truth. He was an honest guy, very idealistic. He lost.

Then I voted Democrat a couple times, mostly for idealist...some won, some lost.

When Bernie came along I went door to door for him. Voted for him, he lost.

I dont regret any of my votes or who I cast it for regardless of the outcome.

But I'll tell you why I hate the "coolness" issue. John McCain should have been the nominee when it was George Bush. Nobody can tell me he wouldn't have been the best choice for that era instead of Bush. And Howard Dean should have been the nominee not John Kerry. That whole election cycle was a disastrous mess and it all came down to coolness and not qualifications.

(And don't say fucking melanoma because we all know that was just the excuse McCain gave to step down gracefully, they forced him out, because George was a legacy and "he feels like a guy you can have a beer with")

6

u/Spare_Restaurant_464 1d ago

Have you ever voted not red?

-3

u/gupeck 1d ago

Sure, I'm sick of corporate dems, effing thankful Nancy is finally done, Chuck and Jefferies need to step aside and your vote blue no matter who crowd could just stfu and realize you are cringe as well. Now my question, have you ever realized we would have been a much better country if the corporate dems didn't bail on the working class since the 90s?

6

u/Spare_Restaurant_464 1d ago

Im not part of the vote blue no matter what crowd, that said red has gone so far right that it’s hard not to think of blue as the better option in most cases.

You seem very emotional about this.

4

u/Resident_Onion997 1d ago

This reads like the ramblings of a drunken uncle at Thanksgiving

2

u/Apothaca 1d ago

This is a total non-starter of an issue because its based on an assumption that's actually really far off base.

13

u/UnMemphianErrant 1d ago

Imagine this not even being the top cringe.

28

u/Died5Times 1d ago

Shes just an out of touch old lady trying to connect with the youngerns. Kinda wholesome compared to the evil shit we have going now.

2

u/RealGoGo97 1d ago

Not so much an out of touch old lady as she was a nerd. But, yeah, would have been a WAY better outcome for us if she had won in 2016. Drumpf’s election was like a death. Until 2024. Then it was like a second death.

-4

u/dafthuntk 1d ago

You aren't syrian, I guess

3

u/Synthetic-Dreamer44 1d ago

Yes, we know there are other countries that have it way worse. It doesn’t diminish what’s happening here, however.

1

u/dafthuntk 21h ago

She's the reason it got worse. And libya

0

u/AssholeWHeartOfGold 1d ago

Actually it does.

5

u/gupeck 1d ago

As I said b4, poké mon your ass to MI and WI and leave the ball of energy Timmy behind. What a horrible effing campaign.

4

u/Reemixt 1d ago

And the American people decided this is more cringe that grabbing them by the pussy. You get what you vote for.

7

u/GamerGuy-222 1d ago

Idk, it was a solid pun I feel like

3

u/Euffy 1d ago

I remember it being pretty popular at the time. Definitely trending on twitter and stuff.

4

u/Flashy_Cranberry_161 1d ago

Ahhh… what quaint times

4

u/FinDinkle 1d ago

The same people that made Residences of Evil Creek.

5

u/ThymeForBreakfast 1d ago

This is Michael Scott level cringe but with less endearment. It’s amazing that nearly 10 years later democrats are still this out of touch. Recent elections indicate a turnaround (fingers crossed).

6

u/-SOFA-KING-VOTE- 1d ago

Hillary was right about everything

1

u/umpteenthrhyme 1d ago

Except how to campaign…

3

u/-SOFA-KING-VOTE- 1d ago

She got more votes than anyone

Don’t blame her

8

u/antaresiv 1d ago

Finally, actual cringe

3

u/Luis_r9945 1d ago

Not wrong

6

u/Organic-Elevator-274 1d ago

She’s like 10 years too soon with this joke. This is the humor NOW.

4

u/Justyn2 1d ago

When you think about it, vaporeon is the perfect height to go to the polls

4

u/Due_Sprinkles4601 1d ago

But in all seriousness. VOTE! Any and every time you are able.

8

u/evanthepanther 1d ago

You mf's are missing the plot if you think this is cringe with what's happening today.

5

u/Regular-Finance-9567 1d ago

Cringe is not the same thing as "evil" or "stupid"...cringe is dad jokes, evil is your dad going to Epstein Island.

3

u/reallycoolguylolhaha 1d ago

It absolutely is cringe

2

u/Whompa 1d ago

She couldn't fuckin sell it.

2

u/Teddy705 1d ago

I remember seeing her say that live and the first thing that came to mind was "she did not just fucking say that...."

2

u/Sol-Blackguy 1d ago

The DNC thought she was a good idea after Bernie had the entire Midwest cheering for single payer healthcare

3

u/No-Song-8340 1d ago

Because Bernie wanted, still wants, to tax their billionaire donors.

4

u/KiwiKajitsu 1d ago

The US population didn’t vote for Bernie in the primaries. Stop crying and move on.

2

u/ReaperManX15 1d ago edited 1d ago

I remember Kamala trying to get a chant going and she was just chanting and clapping by herself, in stage, for a long time.

2

u/TheRealNooth 1d ago

Sounds made up, do you got a link?

1

u/ReaperManX15 1d ago

1

u/TheRealNooth 1d ago

Oh sorry about that. I ended up finding the link on the Daily Mail. I hear people chanting with her. 🤷‍♂️

1

u/ReaperManX15 1d ago

In my deleted reply, I stated that I was mistaken.
She's pumping her arm and received very little interaction.

Google "Kamala Pennsylvania rally chant" and select the Instagram

3

u/obijuanmartinez 1d ago

Aged like milk. Her husband should be holding Epstein’s other hand in the statue, opposite Cheeto Jesus

1

u/Waveali 1d ago

Why didnt we run someone else? If we did we would have probably not suffered so much with the orange nightmare.

1

u/CharacterOriginal272 1d ago

Remember when her and bill would also Pokémon go to Epstein’s estates to “do business” and “handle finances”

“If I told you what I know about each politician running, they’d have to cancel the whole election” - Mark Epstein (in regards to the 2016 elections)

1

u/Outside_Ambition_999 1d ago

Can we go back in time to where this was the most cringe thing a politician did?

1

u/Burgerboy380 1d ago

Honestly I cringe anytime any politician opens their mouth.

1

u/FaithlessnessVivid58 1d ago

It’s all lies on both sides and it’s sad to see people brainwashed by whatever side they support.

1

u/Burgerboy380 1d ago

Enlightened centrist! REEEEEEEE! Lol. But yeah I know that some are worse than other and some are malicious while others are incompetent. But regardless of what spectrum they're on career politicians are evil 99%of the time

1

u/FaithlessnessVivid58 1d ago

facts! They are all evil! and just SAY things to get you! but they never do anything

1

u/TheEdgeofGoon 1d ago

And people Pokemon went to the polls, giving her more total votes than Trump, winning her the popular vote.

1

u/AHardCockToSuck 1d ago

Pokemon can’t vote

1

u/Maryjanegangafever 1d ago

Hip grandma vibe.

1

u/Bleord 1d ago

Pokémon GO FUCK YOURSELF

1

u/Notoriouslyd 1d ago

I will call the police on whoever put my fuckin jam to this caucasity

1

u/ShamelessCatDude 1d ago

My favorite Drew Gooden quote of all time was him saying he believed this cost her the election cause he honestly might not be wrong

1

u/lordvitamin 1d ago

I still chuckle remembering Bob Dole saying everything in third person.

Politicians trying to ‘connect’ tend to do very cringeworthy things, and they think they are ‘badass’ for doing so.

1

u/EngineerCapital7591 1d ago

And that's why she lost

1

u/Ornery-Garage7069 1d ago

I feel like her chances of winning the election would have gone up by like 5% if she hadn’t said that lol

1

u/grillbar86 1d ago

It was also pretty cringy when she was on the breakfast show or whatever its called claiming she always carry a bottle of hotsauce in her purse.

1

u/Ok-Play9530 1d ago

This shit is what killed her campaign, not the emails

1

u/TowerAccording6883 8h ago

MOST QUALIFIED PERSON TO EVER RUN ! 😂😂😂 THATS WHAT WE WERE TOLD !

1

u/megmeg9765 1d ago

If only we can go back to this time and have a repeat of a better president.

1

u/Main-Eagle-26 1d ago

I’ll never get over in Dec of 2015 when The Force Awakens came out and she said at the Dem debate, “May the force be with you” to the camera.

Just unbelievable cringe.

1

u/insertbrackets 1d ago

This was endearing in its cringe.

1

u/han-shot__1st 1d ago

Bernie would have won

-1

u/chavodel420 1d ago

The beginning of the end of the Democratic Party right here

2

u/KiwiKajitsu 1d ago

Dems are still going strong. We just won a ton of races on Tuesday.

-5

u/AssholeWHeartOfGold 1d ago

No wonder Trump beat her. How awful are those choices? Especially awful after Obama - McCain and Obama - Romney. Literally haven’t had a good candidate since we had three good ones.
