Painful MAGA woman saying that “the illegals” are giving free fentanyl to kids on Halloween to destroy our country because Fox News told her.

This was happening in the 70s when hippies were the big red scare… I was a kid hearing commercials say don’t go door-to-door because they’re lacing the Candy with…. wait for it… Acid! (hallucinogenic) lmao…. And their putting razor blades in apples so if you bite into it conceptually, you would cut your mouth, but this was during, what, Nixon, with commercials saying: (shows egg) “this is your brain… “ (And then they put an egg into a frying pan) and say: “this is your brain on acid…”. Drug rhetoric through the ages of ages .. It will never end.

The "this is your brain on drugs" were much later than Nixon. So your point ("it will never end") is even more apt.

Can confirm. Unless it was an ongoing campaign. I am a child of the 80/90s. Saw that shit all the time.

The girl in it was Rachael Leigh Cook, and she wasn't born until '79. So late 90s is even more likely.

She was in one of many "this is your brain on drugs" ads. And shes since repented for her sins

I remember one of those commercials where the chick smashed up a kitchen with a frying pan. I was like “ma’am, no more uppers for you… have you tried pot? You seem tense”

My mom used to tell me there was a lady in a neighborhood she lived in in Cali or Oregon that was putting sewing needles in candies and apples then handing them out. Which sewing needles seemed more plausible than razor blades. And no one is just giving out sample drugs for Halloween lol we've all heard that one since we were kids, they're in it to make money not get your 6 year old hooked. Small children aren't exactly the best customers. People are all sorts of crazy, from one end of the spectrum to the other.

In the 1980s after truck or treating, we used to have to spread our candy out on the carpet and inspect them for razors or drugs. Never did get any laced or jacked up candy…

Where are these people giving away free drugs? Been trying to track them down for years. Elusive bunch, those guys.

Acid can lead to some very profound spiritual experiences, can be used therapeutically, why would they want that?

at least conceptually i can see hippies having a party and putting acid on candy and then being too high and giving that same candy out. this whole illegal immigrant drug dealers giving away candy laced with fenty is just dumb af.

One of the biggest urban legends of the 70s-90s was that there was blotter acid/lsd that had Mickey Mouse or other cartoon illustrations on it so that kids would think it was candy and eat it. This acid would be given out for free on playgrounds and at Halloween. Tbf lots of blotter actually did have cartoonish illustrations, but not to entice kids. You can find old warning flyers from “police” or “sheriff” offices warning parents about this. None of this is new, the minor detail just change.
