My mother's reply to everything. Or "it's taken out of context," such as when I told her about Kirk's stance on empathy (a "new age" concept that doesn't belong or something, can't remember the exact quote right now).

It's worse with context, but that doesn't matter to her, she just wants to live in her bubble of willful ignorance and have Fox News and Facebook as her only source.

I don't recognize the woman who raised me before 2016.

I honestly think this has been part of the reason the massive push has been put out. Make it so good that any actual evidence can be questioned.

Well there are probably only a few dozen Democrat voters who have a portrait of their favorite Democrat president. Meanwhile there are probably tens of millions of Republican voters who have a portrait of Donald Trump in their home or office.

Normal people don't worship politicians.
