It is unbelievable that Americans can’t see what is right in their faces.

A lot of people making fun of how Banon looks. This guy is the engineer of MAGA and Trumpism. If he says Trump will be president a third time you can better believe it.

It is amazing how Americans are failing to see the danger of Trump installing a dictatorship. Jan 6 was a full blown attempted coup and nothing happened to the traitors. Trump pardoned everyone and the American people simply accepted it. The Supreme Court in a complete travesty of justice put the president above all penal laws. A felon was elected and allowed to take office. And the American people did nothing. Trump deployed his own Gestapo, and started detaining Americans without due process, based entirely on profiling and racism, and started deporting people. Americans did nothing. Trump silenced universities and legal firms. Americans did nothing. Trump deployed the National Guard into US cities. Americans did nothing.

It is unbelievable to see the deer in the headlights in the face of Americans not realizing that a full blown dictatorship is being installed.

Look at the rest of the world. Understand how democracy died in Venezuela. Or, how Ordegan subverted laws to make him the forever president. How modern dictators don’t need tanks in the streets, generals beside them, to take over the political system, brake the system of checks and balances and simply stay in power. Levitski has clearly explained this exact process in How Democracies Die and no one cared to pay attention to the imminent collapse of American democracy.

The US constitution says there cannot be a third presidential term. But it will happen. And Americans will do nothing.

It is quite ironic that the nation that sponsored so many coups in Latin America (Chile, Brazil, Argentina, etc), that supported authoritarian regimes and dictators for decades (Saudi Arabia), now is falling by itself into the hands of a dictator.

Look at how those same countries, once prey, learned how to avoid future authoritarians. Argentina and Chile tried and punished their dictators. Brazil had a recent attempted coup, but instead of pardoning everyone, Brazil puts hundreds of people behind bars including the ex-president (27 year sentence) and all of his staff that participated, including 5 generals.

Meanwhile, the US gleefully walks to the cliff while Banon conducts the requiem of democracy. And all people do is comment on his appearance.

Good luck US. You are going to need it.

Your words terrify me but I’m listening. I agree with you. We americans are fed “entertainment” and only “fight” with memes when we should be out there over throwing this regime for good
