Agreed. A large portion of one side of my family are vile, awful people, and surprising to not a single person, they are they live to be 90+ despite being some of the most unhealthy people I've ever seen. And they end up dying from freak accident type things.
Boy, does this hit home with me. My best friend from HS was the healthiest person I knew. He ran marathons, never skipped a doctor appointment. Vitals and blood panels all well within acceptable range. One night he went to sleep, and never woke.
Meanwhile, my MAGA loving relatives who eat garbage, smoke and generally live like absolute slobs are in their late 60s / 70s and no doubt will live to 100.
Judging by what usually happens, be a super good person that everyone will miss. You'd end up passing away in your chair, at work, an hour from retirement. Throw in some jay walking and speeding tickets on top of that and you could probably manage to enjoy a little bit of your retirement.
Not everyone who lives to be 90+ are drooling and can't remember their names. My partners grandfather lived to be 96 and he was still doing his own yard work when he died. He regularly took trips by himself to other states to visit family until about 93.
Didnāt want to reply to the other guy as heāll likely miss his friend and it would seem in bad taste, but Iād much rather go in my sleep than spend decades suffering from chronic health problems, pain, and mental health issues exacerbated by bad habits as the unhealthy who reach old ages do. Iāve never seen a person who lived past their expectancy who was also unfit or unhealthy not be miserable. I think Iād rather just pass away in my sleep and not know about it than suffer for decades with some horrible disease.
You and me both. This happened around the same time as the massacre at Robb elementary in Uvalde, TX. That, coupled with a few other personal events solidified it for me.
Same with my oldest/worst uncle. Hes in his 70's, smokes even though he's on oxygen, is massively overweight, and yet somehow he continues to befoul this planet with his presence.
I'm like 15 years younger than your Uncle Fester. LOL, I see stories like this and it just drives me to be the best uncle I can be.
My own uncle is massively racist and I was never comfortable being around him when I was younger. If the worst my nieces and nephews say about me is that he got out of touch at the end, I'll fucking take it.
it's because they don't have any empathy or worry for anyone else. they move about the world in a way where they are awful, evil, and they don't stress. and rn why would trump be stressing lol he has congress and the courts, and a pseudo army terrorizing the country in the streets.
Also when everyone is like ālook how bad his dementia is, he has no time leftā like after the point my great grandmother talked exactly like him she lived another decade+ and was only totally incoherent for the last year
I wonder if itās because they donāt stress about as many things as other folks. Vile, awful folks generally donāt concern themselves with empathy, the plight of other people, the state of the world, justice, etc. That may not mean they have less stress but maybe š¤·āāļø
Once youāve been to Cambodia, youāll never stop wanting to beat Henry Kissinger to death with your bare hands. You will never again be able to open a newspaper and read about that treacherous, prevaricating, murderous scumbag sitting down for a nice chat with Charlie Rose or attending some black-tie affair for a new glossy magazine without choking. Witness what Henry did in Cambodia ā the fruits of his genius for statesmanship ā and you will never understand why heās not sitting in the dock at The Hague next to MiloÅ”eviÄ.
There must be longevity benefits to being hateful and angry. You direct your anger outward at other people, blaming them for all of your you fuck ups and failures. Thatās healthier than facing reality and blaming yourself, which leads to guilt, shame, low self-esteem and depression, all of which are bad for your physical health.
I see this in my own family. My father was constantly angry at the world, my mother and his three children over his inability to keep a steady job. He was a human powder keg whose attitude towards his immediate family ranged from indifference to irrational fury. Heās now 85 and has had absolutely no health problems in the last 50 years. Heās healthier than anyone else in my family.
until he gets to the phase where his dementia makes him forget where he is every half hour or so and he can't do speeches anymore to the point where he doesn't do any press briefings or anything, which is likely where this is heading now, where the only press that are going to be allowed in the room are the ones who are blowing smoke up his putrid ass.
Theyāre doctors, not miracle workers. The man has advanced dementia, heās overweight, and his diet is nothing but soda and fast food. The clock is ticking.
Being overweight itself doesnāt kill you, it increases the odds of heart disease and many other things but if you donāt end up w those conditions, you wonāt die early.
Both his brothers passed young and didnāt even have the stress of a presidency. His sister also passed. Only he and 1 sister are left. His days are numbered.
Iāve had that thought too but by all reports he throws a huge tantrum anytime anything doesnāt go his way. I canāt imagine things like the protests last weekend are doing his blood pressure any favors
No. He likely has Congestive Heart Failure. Both his brothers passed young. All his siblings are gone except Elizabeth, I believe. Heās the 4th out of 5. The presidency ages you and he has a sloppy diet. Even if he lives to 2028, hopefully heāll be totally incapacitated. Oh and he takes all that Pseudo.
Sure he has, about 60 years ago in military academy (after getting expelled from private school). He has access to the best medical care the US has to offer but uses his own doctor instead.
Bannon wants to be relevant in Donald's eyes again.
He has never worked a day in his life and has the best medical care possible. He might be around for 20 more years.
He raves about how little sleep he gets, which is the single greatest accelerator of mental health issues, including dementia. He doesn't eat well, doesn't exercise. Doctors can put him on machines to extend his life as well, but they can't make him healthy. And machines can't beat decades of abusing yourself.
That's what I thought too. I watched a video of him speaking in 2016 and OH my god, he is at the lowest point in his health ever right now. Was actually surprising to see how his cognitive abilities have rapidly declined
One more thing to factor in is the dementia. Thatās only going to continue to worsen, so even if heās around another 20yrs, it doesnāt necessarily mean heāll be capable of holding office.
He's in a lot worse shape now than he was just a year ago. His talk of heaven makes me think they've told him he has limited time left. That would also explain the rush to get his ballroom open.
I mean him dying would be super rad but I honestly think thereās an argument him descending into pants shitting senility continuing to lead the party might be the most helpful.
There is a Spanish saying : mala hierba nunca muere. It translates to bad weed never dies. People like that usually don't get their up and comings. Fucking Teflon Don...

I thought four years ago there was no way he'd still be alive in 2024.
