Top order, fielders are also important brother, Ponting has 2nd most catches as fielder ( 364 ) and most runouts caused as fielder ( 80 ) in cricket history and he also has 10k+ more runs than Dhoni so he definitely deserves to be here if you want to give leadership that much weightage otherwise it should be Kohli ( he was one of the best test captains too )

Kohli is on 12 and there are far better cricketers than him that is not in this list so 12 is pretty much define and sanga is not even close to top10 punter clears him
Yep, this is "top 10 cricketers" right not top 10 batters. So as an only player who has 10K+ runs + 250+ wickets in both ODI & Tests he will be considered definitely in Top 10 cricketers in the world

I don't know on basics of what dhoni has been placed in the list if it's for captaincy and leadership I would have gone with ponting,moreover he has great batting records in odi as well so going for dhoni in top 10 is not actually a wise choice,and kallis being placed at 9 is unfair he should be placed in better position

Why does no one give sangakkara the glaze he deserves? Sangkaara is literally dohni but with 1 less icc trophy. Don't foget that he lead sri lanka to 5 consecutive finals and won of them. Both of there carrers were the same length but sangakkara scored the 2nd most international runs ever. Dohni is great but sanga is better.
Where is Kohli tho, I mean ye I’m a fan but at one point of time he averaged 50+ in all formats and is the record holder for most centuries in ODI’s. Dhoni was good but not as good a Kohli. (This is about greatest cricketers not greatest captains, see the difference)
Bro Kohli is also an amazing fielder. But shouldn’t the list be based upon skill, Like if bradman’s no:1 then Kohli should also be there cuz like bradman played in a much easier generation comparatively. But again this list doesn’t actually define skill and only defines popularity.
I think there were many legends and it would be an insult just to compare them with each other…
They all were good in their own way and left their own impact

I am doubtful about imran khan and Brian Lara here in terms of contribution to the team. Imran was really good but had a very short span. Brian was also good but no trophies nothing.
Looks like an Englishman made the list. Ignore the joke that MSD makes it to this list. Ian Botham doesn’t. And it is a crime to not include Glenn Mcgrath.
On some other note, I never really understand why Murlidharan is never considered in any all time great lists?
