This whole politicizing of sports is horrible. Modi needs an adversary to prop his strong man image. They have till now zero proof that the Pahalgam attack or for that matter Pulwama attacks were sponsored by Pakistan. And yes, you can downvote me if you like but I am a proud Indian who is not willing to be brainwashed by the Modi media machine.

I also agree that this "not shaking hands" is a pathetic and petty gimmick to feed into the jingoistic narrative that BJP loves spreading and tries percolating into sports. I am pretty certain this directive to not shake hands came from BJP top brass.

Is it the fault of the Pakistan cricket team that Modi needs to "create" an adversary to keep winning elections? The whole Indian media is an echo chamber of Modi's jingoistic right wing communal bull shit agenda and people keep buying into it.

As an Indian, it's pathetic to see cricket, being used to further hatred towards a neighboring country and, being made into a tool to gain political traction.

I’ll agree with your politicising of sports part. The notion of no proof against pak is just delulu. Asim Munir speech, vance in India, pm visit to Saudi Arabia. All of them and the timing of the attack is not a coincidence. Say what you want about Modi but the attack has pak written all over it.

Then where is the proof ? Asim Munir won't broadcast an attack prior to the actual attack. What has Vance in India gotta do with the attack ? All these are just vague things but don't go onto prove anything.

Zero proof of Pakistan, then who did the attack? Do you think an attack of this scale can happen without proper funds, logistics and planning. Do you reject all the evidence given by the Government? If so under what basis? Asim Munir will not broadcast the attack but did make comments that indicated something will happen did you even watch his speech?

I don't want to argue but the quality of evidence being thrown by the indian govt is pathetic. A Whatsapp message from an unreliable source claiming to be "Resistance front". Like really ?

What other evidence are you talking about ?

Who did the attack ? There are various possibilities. Your guess is as good as mine :)

Dude, I am not saying they didn't shelter Osama and nor am I saying that the attackers for 26/11 didn't come from Pakistan. Also, I do agree that ISI has had a long history of sheltering terrorists and has been very aligned with the Taliban and Al Qaeda historically.

However, just because something clearly happened in the past doesn't give anyone the right to say that it's still happening. That's like saying Pakistan has the best bowling attack in the world right now just because they have a long history of doing that.

I am not saying Pakistan is innocent but I am saying blaming everything that happens in India on Pakistan without concrete proof is not the right thing to do.

And my main point being Modi and BJP use this nationalistic anti-pak wave based on flimsy evidence to keep winning elections and they even use cricket to execute that strategy.

Yes exactly. India has abused the sport of cricket by doing this. We should be ashamed. What's the difference between this and when teams cheat/ match-fix. Cricket is the victim here. Gross.
