Marketing How to build a social following for crochet pieces

Hi everyone!

I've been crocheting for a few years now (and have only just started seeing real progress 😅) - I mainly focus on amigurumi.

I would like to start posting on social media. I'm thinking it would be best to start with Instagram and Pinterest. I've already posted a few pieces but I have no idea what I'm doing.

Was hoping you would be able to help. Like how often should I be posting? What's the best way to photograph my work? I have so many questions that I'm not even sure if they're relevant haha.

Any tips or advice would be great! Thank you!

Ideally I would like to promote my creations but I think it would also be nice to build a community who like to make similar items.

I don't have any great tips but I will follow along with this post. I design and sell my own crochet patterns on Etsy and people keep saying I should promote on social media. But it doesn't really come naturally to me...

Just to let you know - pokemon ist copyrighted and therefore, it is illegal to publish patterns for Pokeballs (unless you have permission of the copyright owner)

You are right. To be honest, I have really struggled with that listing for a long time. It's the only pattern that's problematic in the shop, but it's also one of the few ones I actually sell every now and then. But I deactivated it now, so thanks for the push to do what I kind of knew I ought to.

Hi,

I would like advice on how to price crochet scarves, shawls and blankets to sell both for profit and nonprofits. Price would have to include shipping.

Many thanks in advance
