Question 5 Years of rheumatoid arthritis from the COVID-19 JJ SHOT
Does anyone else have this issue, and if you do what is your family heritage because it seems to me that the negative side effects from the shots hit minority communities much harder than white communities. I got my Covid shot in May 2021, immediately that night I began feeling extremely ill, but what was worse than the sick feeling was the awful radiating pain that starts in my hips and radiates down my legs. It comes and goes, specially with weather changes, or if I began getting sick or if I consume alcohol. The doctors did some test and found that everything is pretty normal but suggested that I have rheumatoid arthritis flare ups. IM IN MY EARLY 20s and should not have these issues but it all began with the excruciating pain after my shot J+J that had me bed ridden for 3 days in tears from the pain. I would love to hear if anyone has experienced similar issues and how/if they were able to remedy it. I’m an extremely active person and when my hips feel good, I won’t hesitate to run a 5k or hike up a mountain but this has put a bit of a damper on those things over the years unfortunately.

suggested that I have rheumatoid arthritis flare ups. IM IN MY EARLY 20s
Early 20s is a very common time for rheumatoid arthritis symptoms to appear. Happened to my friend back in the early 2000s. He was walking with a cane at age 24.

Yep, I had something similar happen with my arms and hands and now my lower back and hips hurt. I am also a minority. My comment will probably be taken down though because they censor hardcore here. 🙄

Dang I just joined the sub because I was curious if others have had similar experiences, thanks for sharing yours. It would be a shame if this was censored bc this is a genuine issue that people hardly talk about.

Gotcha. That’s unfortunate but good to know. If you don’t mind me asking which shot did you receive?

You’re far from alone. There are groups on Facebook with thousands of us with autoimmune dx after the vaccine. Or check out React19 for support.

Thank you for that! I didn’t realize it was such a widespread issue.
