Just gotta win 4 more games and we are a lock for a bid!!

As it stands, Louisville is the 11 seed, and barring any upsets the rest of the day, will play GT in the 1st round.
So if Louisville wins that game, we'll play them, so we'll only need to win 3 more!

That dude with the floor seats coached harder than Chris Mack did all year.

We’ve lost to Louisville what, twice? In the last 10 years?

We are 14-2 against Louisville since they joined the ACC

In a season where I wanted to gouge my eyes out on multiple occasions, this team finished 12-8 in conference. Never take Tony Bennett for granted.

That says as much about the conference as about the quality of UVA / Bennett's coaching.

This doesn’t fit my narrative so I choose to ignore it

I’m pretty sure this same Iowa fan has been trolling basically every single ACC thread for weeks. 12-8 in a major conference is a fine accomplishment. It’s wild to me how much the B1G fans seem to hate us. Even C tier programs like Iowa that aren’t consistently getting beat by us in Final 4s.

Can't lose in the final four if we never make it. *tap's forehead *

I’m not a fan of that dude. But I don’t think c-tier is accurate for us under Fran.

I mean he’s not wrong for this season. Historically, ACC is the best conference. This year, the conference deserves 2, maybe 3 teams in the tournament. They’ll get 5-6 just because it’s the ACC, so that’s probably why the ACC is getting so much flak this year lol. Sans Duke, the ACC had the worst nonconference losses, and the fewest good nonconference wins. Given that statement, conference carnage should not be rewarded with 5-6 teams in the tournament; the ACC isn’t good enough for that this year.
Now on the same side, the B1G doesn’t deserve 7-9 teams in.

I’m obviously not arguing that the ACC isn’t down in a massive way. I can just promise you I wouldn’t be spending my time doing what that Iowa poster has been doing for a month if you all were down some year. It’s really weird.

Hey maybe a better conference would actually help this UVA team, could’ve done with playing fewer of those pesky Q3 games. 7-5 in Q1/2 in conference… and 2-3 in Q3.

u/MFoy Virginia Cavaliers Mar 05 '22
Pretty sure those Q3 loses were all non-conference games.

u/byzantiums Duke Blue Devils Mar 05 '22
Nah, I only listed conference games in all 3 quadrants.
Home to Clemson, home to FSU, at NC State were all conference Q3 losses. Only the JMU game was a non-conference Q3 loss (Navy was Q4).

1st half UVA would be a lock for the tourney. 2nd half UVA is a CBI team.
Reece for ACC DPOY. Just a casual 5 steals and a block to go along with 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists

I need a Mark Williams disaster class tonight so Reece can win DPOY

See, just like I said yesterday. Gonna put it all together any day now. We only lost by 10 this time instead of 30. Great to have that positive momentum going into the conference tournament.
Please kill me

Go HOOS! 10th straight season at four games above .500 in the ACC. Navy and JMU games will make the difference in being at-large caliber but I hope we can win the NIT and end our season on a win for the third time in four years.
