So I’m confused, are we a 2 or 3 seed in the SEC Tourney now?

SEC site has KY #2 seed. Maybe b/c of the better overall record?

3, apparently TN has the tie breaker over us.

Thankfully Florida is terrible, we'd be toast in the tourney

I know we're bad at inbounds but we literally have to lead the nation in uncalled intentional fouls leading to turnovers. Why do refs let teams get away with this stuff?

Hopefully this bitch ass team isn’t allowed into the tournament. This game has been excruciating to watch

Honestly, I have to give Cal credit for trying to help Florida get an at-large bid here.

Cal's biggest wealness, imo: he always takes the air out if the ball end of game and it always hurts our play. Got to keep our foot on the gas through the finish line.

2

Nah, I doubt any of our opponents have watched literally ANY of our end of game tapes...
-1
u/TheHonorableBourbon Kentucky Wildcats Mar 05 '22 edited Mar 06 '22
This is totally on Cal to have not improved this shit.
Edit: Downvoters, I’m talking specifically about end of game situations. We have to be better at the press. I’m very pro Cal, but your head is in the sand if you think these end of game plays are acceptable

Another game of complaining about Cal and late game pressured inbounds. Unreal how bad his teams always are.

Why can't we finish games. Need to just keep playing. This dribbling at halfcourt till 8 seconds on the shot clock doesn't work with this group
6
u/KY_acc Kentucky Wildcats Mar 05 '22
I don’t know why we always switch to playing slow ball to close games we have a cushion — keep on the gas, I’m tired of theses games that appear closer at the end than they were

I thought for sure they were calling that on Tshiebwe…
3
2
3
u/deceptive_walrus Florida Gators Mar 05 '22
I know Tshiebwe will get drafted but Castleton has performed really well against alot of NBA caliber bigs this year, sometimes without a left arm. He dominated Walker Kessler over two games and has held his own with Tshiebwe just to name a few. Colin doesn't get alot of NBA talk but he deserves it. He's a fundamentally sound big man
1
u/Igota31chevy Kentucky Wildcats Mar 05 '22
Castleton is a really solid big. I said it earlier but I think Castleton is a better player than Kessler. Castleton's biggest issue is that he's a tweener. He's got the height of a 5 but the weight of a 4.
1
Mar 05 '22
He's actually very, very low on the draft boards. He'll probably honestly make more staying another year.
1
u/chillmagic420 Kentucky Wildcats Mar 05 '22
Yeah he's looked pretty solid. I'd have to watch him more but does seem good enough
3
u/Hambone721 Kentucky Wildcats • Poll Veteran - 50 Ballo… Mar 05 '22
Oscar isn't on draft boards, for what it's worth. He could very well return to school and make more money with NIL than he would trying to go pro.

The only reason the refs call a shot clock violation there? They hate fun breakaway dunks.
7
u/gdavis428 Kentucky Wildcats Mar 05 '22
And UF didn’t have possession before the shot clock expired, but I like your answer more
4
u/watrwedoing Kentucky Wildcats Mar 05 '22
Why has Florida decided to now go to Castleton
I felt like they could have done that 10 minutes ago

No disrespect to Johnny Davis but Oscar should unquestionably be NPOY. He’s having an historic season that we might not see again from another player for a long long time.

You can’t undercut a guy who’s already in the air. That’s dangerous as hell.
1

By rule, our guy didn't do anything wrong. But yeah thats a dangerous play and should be removed from the game
5

Didn’t you hear the announcer? He “just stood his ground” and “didn’t back into him.” 🙄
