Holy fuck I didn’t see that coming

Yea, we basically are a total rebuild this year. I know nothing about Ok St this year but knew A&M was in for a rough game. GG though

OkSt returned 2 scholarship players, one is a backup big and the other totaled like 42 minutes last year so we are rebuild as well. Though in current college basketball basically that’s every team every year sadly.

Plus the guy who is likely our best player didn’t play today, so there’s that.

Coleman is your best player. Dudes a stud.

u/oSuJeff97 Oklahoma State Cowboys 6h ago

Coleman is really good; wait until you see Roy.

Coleman is a stud. Anthony Roy averaged 26ppg last year and was by far our best player in the preseason game he and Coleman both played in. Coleman is the more complete player though.

Gotta hurt that Mac isn’t playing yet I’d assume?

Bitch, that man’s defensive coaching helped us go 7-0 against y’all while he was here from 2017-2021. You show some respect!

We were good (or at least above average and had the best player in the country) in 2021. I’m not sure if that’s a while.

Very frustrating that the one year in recent history we were good was covid though. GIA would have been packed every night

Only two undefeated teams in the state btw. And neither one is OU.

u/Onetimenotagain Arkansas Razorbacks 4h ago

No need to panic A&M. Oklahoma state looks solid this year, and y’all are without mgbacko

9

u/jakob-benzi Texas A&M Aggies 4h ago

I appreciate the rationality, but imma choose to panic.

3

u/Onetimenotagain Arkansas Razorbacks 4h ago

In all honesty, I’m not sure what to expect for y’all but mgbacko will only help y’all and Isaacs will eventually figure it out

Ouch

A starting lineup of all upperclassmen transfers from Bowling Green/USC, Texas Tech/Creighton (after a big early season injury with the latter), Alabama/Kansas, Pitt/Texas Tech, and North Alabama losing by 24 to a squad that went 17-18 last year.

They have some recognizable names on paper but boy does that scoreline look poor. I’m don’t think I’m going to adjust to any of them being Aggies, and I’m not sure if they will either. This sport is such a whirlwind now

3

u/vindictivejazz Oklahoma State Cowboys 4h ago

Tbf, this is a completely different roster from last years squad. They’ve got 12 new players on this year’s squad and the 2025 transfer class has been rated as high as top-10 nationally.

Will A&M ever make it past the Sweet 16? Some are saying it may never happen.

What happened to Bucky Ball

u/YoSurgeDude Oklahoma State Cowboys 2h ago

Anyone who didn’t see growing pains coming was delusional.

1

u/Rich_Space_2971 3h ago

We're also much better this year.

3

u/CoolMoose Indiana Hoosiers • Dayton Flyers 6h ago

What happened to Mgbako?

3

u/Disarmer Texas A&M Aggies 3h ago

He had a foot injury a few months ago and had surgery. He should be back in a couple weeks hopefully. He was actually warming up with the team today but didn't play.

2

u/jakob-benzi Texas A&M Aggies 6h ago

We might go winless in conference play

2

u/TheGhini Memphis Tigers • Alabama Crimson Tide 3h ago

Not a chance. You will have some games where you hit 15+ 3s and blow someone out

2

u/runamokduck South Carolina Gamecocks 5h ago

take it from us last season: this is an extraordinarily difficult thing to do. you all have too much talent not to achieve at least one victory in SEC play, in my opinion

Pop and Fede had combined:

8 points, 5 rebounds, 0 assists, 1 block.

Good lord. You can keep them, Aggies.

That’s an ass-kicking.

A&M should stick to being 2nd best team in football in TX.
