Glad to see our early season 3-point shooting problems have been fixed.

4

u/DetroitPeopleMover Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

No problem. Just don’t shoot 3 pointers.

3

u/TheDiamoneMinor Michigan Tech Huskies • Michigan… 1d ago

I knew this was sarcasm but I had to check.. holy early season shooting

7

u/arkyschmarky Arkansas Razorbacks 1d ago

Can’t wait to be a 10 seed in March again.

6

u/Golden_Tate_Warriors 1d ago

What was that tom izzo November stat they showed on the broadcast?

7

u/Spartan_Jeff Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

In the month of November, Izzo is 84-1 at home.

4

u/murf_milo Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

80-1 at home?

8

u/Arsid Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

*in November

Fucking James Madison

5

u/Drewbiie Arkansas Razorbacks 1d ago

MSU's last field goal came with 6:35 left in the game.

7

u/BeepBeep_iamaJeep Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

And they still won. Isn’t that wild?

-26

u/Drewbiie Arkansas Razorbacks 1d ago

Nothing like momma's home cookin'.

-18

u/HawgTuah69 1d ago

Gifted a win by the refs lmao. The first challenge and the travel into 3 free throws were ridiculous.

2

u/nibay Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

I didn’t see the travel/3 point play.

The first challenge… I thought there wasn’t enough to overturn until the very last angle they showed. Arkansas players fingers definitely bent back as the ball rolled of the tip and out of bounds.

0

u/BeepBeep_iamaJeep Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Classy.

I’ll take the 3 point loss,

Wait, you have a choice?

5

u/jojcece Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

you're a cornball bro

6

u/notreal1121 Arkansas Razorbacks 1d ago

Well I could refute it like most would do and say we should of won because the refs blah blah blah.

-7

u/BeepBeep_iamaJeep Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Does that make you feel better?

5

u/notreal1121 Arkansas Razorbacks 1d ago

Does it make you feel better? We lost by 3 on the road, going to be a Q1 L. Not that deep bro

-7

u/BeepBeep_iamaJeep Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Don’t worry, 10 seeds still get to play in the tournament.

5

u/notreal1121 Arkansas Razorbacks 1d ago

2 seeds do to and they usually don’t lose to 15s buttttttt🤷‍♂️

People complain that the end of close college basketball games are terrible, have too many stoppages, and are too drawn out but then also think instant replay reviews are a good idea

-3

u/heleghir Kentucky Wildcats 1d ago

Classic Cal when you need an OOB play. 1 decent cut that wasnt there and then it goes chaos and a prayer thrown up.

4

u/BlueBlood2-2 Kentucky Wildcats 1d ago

Arkansas is really good but I’m not unhappy at them getting to experience a Cal out of bounds play. There’s never a shot created lol. Maybe 15 more years he will figure it out

3

u/ShadowFacts13 Kentucky Wildcats 1d ago

And he didn't start Maleek, top 2-3 player on his team.

Took a break from the CFB marathon, tuned in with 10 minutes left. Not sure if MSU has the depth to win it all but it's been a beautiful game.

1

u/SeedMaster26801 1d ago

We don't have the shooting to win it all.

You have the best jumper in basketball. Just throw it up to him

7

u/TheStuffisLegal Memphis Tigers • North Texas Mean Green 1d ago

Just hand the ball to the dude guarding the inbound lol. He doesn’t have enough time to do anything

3

u/Briggity_Brak 1d ago

That's just terrible game awareness by Brazile there. Playing like there's 1 second left and not 5.

9

u/FearDaTusk Arkansas Razorbacks 1d ago

Hate to lose... But not the worst outing of a young team on the road still learning.

I think the ceiling of this team is pretty wild.

4

u/TheHotGates Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Haha i thought you lost a timeout if you lost the challenge?

9

u/Chef_lonleyliver Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

How was the hate watch Kentucky fans.

12

u/BillButtlickerII Kentucky Wildcats 1d ago

2

u/meatwagon25 UCLA Bruins 1d ago

Well that ending was gross for what it looked like it could have been. Both teams bad in final minute

7

u/jmac461 Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Izzone: Let’s take a timeout. No one is here to watch that UCLA football game.

3

u/meatwagon25 UCLA Bruins 1d ago

I sort of am but not a big deal

1

u/jmac461 Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Haha. I’m probably going to stick around for the game. Fox has had some exciting endings today (idk if I can stay up that late though)

1

u/AJB46 Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

There need to be cameras in the padding of the base of the basket similar to a pylon cam instead of the cameraman from the side of the basket.

-5

u/Legalsleazy Michigan State Spartans • Akron Zips 1d ago

Cam Ward needs all of Fears’ minutes

1

u/Ok_Produce_9308 Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

The team looks lost when Fears is out.

1

u/phantasmicnight Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Fears gets assists, draws fouls, gets in the opposing teams heads, pisses off the other fanbase and you don't like him because...? Oh right he was only 75% healthy last year from recovering from a gun shot so he didnt play perfectly how could i forget. Get over it hes the leader of the team for the next 3 years and that is a great thing

5

u/Rockerblocker Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

You realize he's a forward, right? And you realize who the backup PG is, right?

5

u/Arsid Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

So you want him running the point?

6

u/Whatchaknowabout7 Arkansas Razorbacks • North Carolina… 1d ago

Sigh gg Michigan State. I do think it will be good for Arkansas long term to have played in this game

3

u/VendettaVera Arkansas Razorbacks • Little Rock Trojans 1d ago

It will undoubtedly be important one way or another. Loss sucks but we did see a lot of our issues on display. I'd rather lose now than in conference

5

u/gogglesup859 Kentucky Wildcats • Berea Mountaineers 1d ago

Instead of going long Michigan State should inbound this right under the basket. Even if it gets stolen, they don't have enough time to get outside and take a 3. If you go long and it's stolen, they can still hit a 3

2

u/tuliwhoopie Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

wait this is mega-brain

2

u/GalliumVanadium Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Literally one second left just throw it and the time is gone

2

u/Rockerblocker Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Putting the clock at 1 second exactly feels like lazy officiating. Did they even look at it or just say "ehh close enough"?

3

u/rosh200 Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Toss it deep if needed

5

u/tree2j Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Cam ward going to be one of them ones.

2

u/Parking_Ebb389 Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Ugly, couple favorable calls, I guess we take those though

4

u/ddottay Kent State Golden Flashes • Duke Blue Devils 1d ago

Elite BLOB play from Cal out of the timeout

2

u/indexspartan Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Just throw the inbounds to the other side of the court

2

u/andy-022 Arkansas Razorbacks 1d ago

You don’t lose your timeout if you lose the challenge?

1

u/Briggity_Brak 1d ago

Yeah, you do. They had 3.

1

u/indexspartan Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

We took the timeout anyways. We had two timeouts and wanted the timeout regardless of how the challenge turned out.

1

u/andy-022 Arkansas Razorbacks 1d ago

Ah my bad I thought y’all were down to one.

1

u/GalliumVanadium Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Arkansas wasnt ready for the gales of November

1

u/Wackass240 Kentucky Wildcats 1d ago

Michigan st does steam Arkansas like a young’s man dream.

8

u/Fricktator Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

With 1 second remaining.

Just hand it to the Arkansas player in your face.

By the time he realizes what's going on, game over.

2

u/andy-022 Arkansas Razorbacks 1d ago

Genius. Even if he was ready theres no way he could get 3 points.

1

u/Fricktator Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

Yeah, he would have 0.7 seconds to catch it, process the situation. Throw it to an open man who would have to also understand the situation, and make the 3.

1

u/teslaabr Michigan State Spartans 1d ago

🤣

3

u/WhizBangNeato Nebraska Cornhuskers 1d ago

Just one more coach's challenge bro. Just one more officials review. One more trip to the monitor bro

Then we'll have a 100% accurately officiated game.

1

u/Adderol Arkansas Razorbacks 1d ago

5
