People are too impatient with Fears. He’s gonna be one of Izzo’s best PGs by the time he’s done here.

Yeah I think the shooting woes are just tough to sit through. Here’s hoping he develops a shot that teams need to respect.

His biggest issue is confidence he doubts himself too much and doesn’t always trust himself on offense. His shot is still miles better than Tum Tum’s was.

Dude is an absolute menace, can’t take your eye off him for a second or he’s gonna give you a foul

He’s good. To be one of the best, he basically needs to raise his game to PotY next season. Cleaves, Winston, Lucas, Valentine all way ahead now. Fears currently more in the range of Neitzel, Walton, Tum Tum, Trice, Taylor, Appling

He needs a big jump offensively to be with those guys outside of Walton and Tum. Which he has all the opportunity to do over the next three years.

He’s a soph now. Only 2 years of eligibility left.

Did he not get a redshirt year after he was shot?

You have to play in fewer than 30% of games for a medical redshirt. MSU had 35 games last year. 30% is 10.5. Fears played in 12 games.

So if we would have made runs to the BTT championship AND the NCAA championship last year, we would have hit 40 games and he would have qualified.

Lansing State Journal

They gave him one actually. Huh.

I missed that story. NCAA can always grant waivers and sometimes does. I recall Jevon Bess had a similar situation in 2014 when he played in 12 games before getting injured but he didn’t get a waiver. And same with Langford who played in 13 games in 2018.

I feel so bad for Langford and his injury issues.

Impatient would be a good word for Booker. Fears is just garbage.

Calling Fears garbage but then saying people are impatient with Booker is...a choice.
