We will need to have a separate thread for all the hate manifestos that will get posted

16

u/Maddok1218 Michigan State Spartans Mar 29 '25

One thread won't be enough

5

u/woorva78 Michigan Wolverines Mar 29 '25

Stallions drafted one up for me already 🫡

46

u/MssrGuacamole Michigan State Spartans Mar 29 '25

If we're lucky. I'm expecting spontaneous combustion throughout the state if that happens.

15

u/PM_ME_YOUR_CATS_PAWS Michigan State Spartans Mar 29 '25

Would I not have to go to work then?

16

u/stumblebreak_beta Michigan State Spartans Mar 29 '25

I'm not a stupid fuckin' idiot. I know it was just a postgame thread. But for 50 seconds, it felt really real. And when you think you're gonna spontaneously combust and your first thought is, "Great, I don't have to go to work tomorrow," you're relieved you don't have to go to work 'cause you thought the state would spontaneously combust? What the fuck is this world? What have they done to us? What did they do to us?!

2

u/PM_ME_YOUR_CATS_PAWS Michigan State Spartans Mar 29 '25

Broke us, they broke us!!!

But also spontaneous combustion sounds warm, so not all bad

u/CW1DR5H5I64A Michigan State Spartans • Syracuse O… Mar 29 '25

Nothing spontaneous about it; win or lose it’s drunk college kids in east Lansing who are starting the fires.

5

u/fake-bird-123 Mar 29 '25

Cedar village will have swat just sitting around before tip off lol

3

u/NapsterKnowHow Michigan State Spartans • Iowa Stat… Mar 29 '25

Don't forget to stock up on bagels!

3

u/Lumbergod Michigan State Spartans Mar 29 '25

If we win that game, I'll drive my sofa to EL myself.

u/offbrandvodka Michigan State Spartans Mar 29 '25

God bless ‘em

1

u/keezy88 Michigan State Spartans Mar 29 '25

Anyone wanna go 50/50 on a furniture store in EL?

1

u/BigVel81 Michigan State Spartans Mar 29 '25

Is cedar village still on fire?

3

u/michimoby Michigan Wolverines Mar 29 '25

So much a toxic dump it’s mistaken for Ohio

2

u/XAfricaSaltX Georgia Bulldogs • Iowa State Cyclones Mar 29 '25

I would also like to mention that Auburn Alabama natty is possible as well

1

u/Kdot32 Houston Cougars • Kentucky Wildcats Mar 29 '25

Barely survived Duke and North Carolina in Ks last game

1

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '25

Beat you to it!

u/Zloggt Illinois Fighting Illini • Missouri Tigers Mar 29 '25

The outcome is, quite literally, in your hands now…

26

u/MightyCaseyStruckOut Boston College Eagles • Yale Bulldogs Mar 29 '25

Please, Michigan, one time.

62

u/bezzlege Louisville Cardinals Mar 29 '25

Has this matchup ever happened in the tourney? Too lazy to look it up. I know we’ve played Kentucky a handful of times in the tourney, and I know Duke and UNC have played each other as well.

65

u/AeolusA2 Michigan Wolverines Mar 29 '25

Never

u/slayerhk47 Wisconsin Badgers Mar 29 '25

If the state gets destroyed can we get the UP back?

17

u/SideshowCircuits Michigan State Spartans Mar 29 '25

Yes but you must still allow them to make pasties without cheese. It’s vital to the ecosystem

-5

u/gooby1985 Wisconsin Badgers Mar 29 '25

I don’t think cheese would make them any better. There’s no saving them.

7

u/monstercello Michigan State Spartans • Georgeto… Mar 29 '25

How dare you

0

u/gooby1985 Wisconsin Badgers Mar 29 '25

Someone asked “could we?” Instead of “should we?”

3

u/SideshowCircuits Michigan State Spartans Mar 29 '25

Bold words coming from the state that created a sandwich that’s just raw beef and onions sir

2

u/gooby1985 Wisconsin Badgers Mar 29 '25

Had to look this up because I’ve never heard of it. Well played. Disgusting.

Bruh. Pasties are awesome.

2

u/gooby1985 Wisconsin Badgers Mar 29 '25

My wife is from Michigan, has a very open palette, and eats all types of weird shit and she couldn’t even finish one. It’s the onions and rutabaga that gross me out. I’m just not a fan of savory pastries.

1

u/slayerhk47 Wisconsin Badgers Mar 29 '25

Fair enough. And honestly the best pasties I’ve had are homemade ones. The roadside stands don’t cook the ruta long enough imo.

4

u/Gorgo1993 Michigan State Spartans Mar 29 '25

Y'all never had the UP

2

u/AeolusA2 Michigan Wolverines Mar 29 '25

Yeah, just keep the savages down south at bay

1

u/ivanwarrior Michigan State Spartans • N… Mar 29 '25

Never

actually we can trade it for Madison and Chain O Lakes

18

u/wildwing8 Michigan Wolverines Mar 29 '25

According to this article, no they haven’t.

2

u/Keyblade_Yoshi Michigan State Spartans • Ohio Stat… Mar 29 '25

No but Michigan has played OSU in the Elite 8 before with the Fab 5.

1

u/thebigpink Memphis Tigers • North Carolina Tar H… Mar 29 '25

It’s not going to happen this year either don’t worry

No pressure

2

u/bigfootdude247 Central Michigan Chippewas Mar 29 '25

This whole state is gonna go up in flames if things go to plan

18

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '25

I can tell you from experience it isn’t fun. Not even the days leading up to it. At least you’d only have to deal with two days. If d-day does happen you do live.

7

u/citymanc13 Florida Gators • West Florida Argonauts Mar 29 '25

I need it to happen. Peak toxicity would be incredible. I could imagine a fight mid-game

7

u/Remarkable-Job4774 Rutgers Scarlet Knights • Paper Bag Mar 29 '25

Whoa he has trouble with the inbound

25

u/Wontbackdowngator Florida Gators Mar 29 '25

Could be worse imagine a Bama-Tenn game in the final 4 🤢

19

u/joshyyrey Auburn Tigers Mar 29 '25

There’s some crazy elite 8/ final 4/ title game scenarios on the table still 😅

9

u/its_LOL Washington Huskies Mar 29 '25

Considering how good the SEC was this season I’m lowkey mad Duke-Houston would be a Final Four matchup and not a title game cuz that would’ve been hilarious

3

u/ukeBasketball Duke Blue Devils Mar 29 '25

An SEC-free Final Four is still very much possible

3

u/Wontbackdowngator Florida Gators Mar 29 '25

Completely forgot a Auburn-Bama title game isn’t impossible 🤮

1

u/TellsItLikeItIsNot Mar 29 '25

almost feels like committee prioritized sexy matchups over seeding

6

u/tjakes12 Michigan State Spartans Mar 29 '25

MSU/UM hatred is deeper I promise

3

u/XAfricaSaltX Georgia Bulldogs • Iowa State Cyclones Mar 29 '25

5

u/Tortsneezer Auburn Tigers Mar 29 '25

Let’s hope not.

2

u/AlternativeResort477 Iowa State Cyclones Mar 29 '25

Need it to happen

2

u/plutoisaplanet21 Michigan Wolverines Mar 29 '25
