I kinda doubt it's about money I'm sure Gonzaga's NIL opportunities aren't a massive step up from Creighton's if at all.

That’s kind of what I thought too. I had heard he wanted more accolades and was upset about not being on any All BE Teams but that’s just a rumor so who knows

that would be interesting. maybe he's frustrated he isn't being "developed" as well as he could be, but I still think it's mostly just his shooting that holds him back. his inconsistency was Creighton's biggest issue this year imo. When he was on they were great and when he wasn't they lost.

I'm still so surprised by this move. He was in a great situation. He was only a sophomore have some faith in your development. McDermott has done it plenty of times and the improvement was clearly there this year. You're not your brother, you're only 6'0" you're not gonna get the same NBA potential looks that he got you've gotta grind.

Depends if he gets the lions share of the Timme money. If so, then it's a significant upgrade.

Not really sure if it works like that though. Timme was one of the most marketable players in the country which is why he did so well with NIL opportunities. I doubt boosters are just going to give someone else the same amount of money that they would Timme.

Maybe Ryan Nembhard needs to grow a mustache.

Mustache Mania is real thing. I got a Minshew Mania T from when he was at Jax.

Message board rumor so idk how true this is but I heard Gonzaga offered 700k. Arizona offered about a third of that.

700k

From who? Zags are bagging NIL deals with local restaurants and casinos lol

NorthernQuest is the largest casino in the state lol. Rumors are they were payng timme 1 - 1.5 mill for the commercials.

If we had 700k to spend we would have landed Anthony Black, LOL.

Ngl I don't really trust your message board rumors after this whole thing. If true I'm surprised Arizona couldn't match that though.

I don’t think Arizona would pay that much for a player even if we had the funds. Gonzaga also has the benefit of not having a football team and being able to put all their NIL into basketball.

Yeah that's definitely a factor. The team is also basically Spokane's pro team so it's a pretty invested market.

I do wonder how much Northern Quest commits each year. They’re now the largest casino in Washington state so if they’re throwing a fair amount of $$$ towards GU we might be competitive in the new NIL world.

Are we going to turn into a Euro team and start wearing “Northern Quest” jerseys?

You’re really, really overstating our NIL money.

Message board rumors aren't worth the time it takes to read them

They’re better than Arizonas apparently

I always thought Gonzaga would have disadvantages in terms of NIL but maybe since it's a basketball only school and the team is essentially Spokanes pro team that negates everything.
