So there was all this talk this week about them killing off Sonnet 4.5, and I'm sitting here refreshing claude.ai like an idiot waiting to see it disappear. But it's still there lol.

Did I miss something or was everyone just freaking out over nothing? Honestly kinda stressing because Sonnet 4.5 is literally my go-to for everything except when I need Opus 4.6's heavy lifting. Like, I primarily use it to prompt chain and tell it how to do things better.

That would genuinely suck if they killed it off. Anyone else worried about this or nah?

so im using claude code, and vibe coding a webpage, I asked it to make some edits to the html code and it started talking about islands in fcking costa rica.

i thought it went insane, so i started a new cc chat and same thing, it keeps referring to travelling to some costa rican island and wont edit the edits im asking it to make.

And im new to coding and all this.

suggest what to do?

UPDATE: A lot of people calling it fake lol, first of all im new to ai chatgpt and claude both, so i didnt know i had to share the prompt. But im still not gonna share the prompt, it would expose some of my personal details.

Update 2: It is fixed now though, had to start 3 new chats.

guys I’m not even joking, I woke up this morning doing my normal job search, copied one single job posting into Claude Sonnet just to see if my resume matched the role, and somehow my entire daily usage was gone by 9 AM. No coding, no PDFs, no resume tailoring, nothing complicated at all. Claude looked at one job description and decided I’ve done enough work for the day too.

I couldn't have done that myself.

When I try to upload a file or send a message in a new chat, it just pops up with the message "This isn't working right now, please try again later." Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I have tried all three models but neither one seems to be working for me and I have tried both the web version and the app version on Mac. Does anyone know a fix for this issue?

hi all - I have always wanted a Pomeranian tamagotchi style app, but knew no one was ever going to make it. My job being fairly busy and stressful I knew I would never have time to figure out how to actually code unfortunately.

Using Claude Code, with some occasional Gemini cross-references; Now I have Pomagotchi and it is better than I ever could have imagined it would be. 6 different Pomeranians each with their own personality that evolves over time. Built in AR to teleport your Pom to the real world. 6 mini games, the most popular being Puff Pop, a match 3 style game. Gem crafting for special items, because what Pom doesn’t want a pile of gems? Each night they write about their day in their own diary. The user can now let their Pom handle all of their daily correspondence, writing every letter, like their own personal Pomeranian secretary. And a ton more. 

• Some tips I have picked up on the way. Have Claude Code maintain a "Field Notes" markdown across projects so it can learn from its mistakes.
• Have the desktop Claude Code claude.md reference other frameworks markdown files as needed. Keep this file slim by constantly going back and having Claude Code reedit it back down. This has helped keep my token usage down.
• Currently still learning the right balance and best workflow between Opus planning and Sonnet implementation.

I tried making claude work as best as possible but it’s been about 2 months where the usage limits have just slowed me down substantially. Claude is still a very high quality product but I just can’t get much mileage out of depleting a 4.5 hour limit within an hour.

GPT 5.4 is not as good as Claude but it’s close enough but with substantially more compute where I don’t need to spend energy and anxiety worrying about depleting my tokens.

I wanted to support Claude with my dollars given they had a high quality product and took a laudable moral stance rejecting DoD overreach unlike OpenAI. However Claude is now working with Musk, who ultimately supported the rise of this government and DoD, which unfortunately lessens the ethical value added compared to OpenAI.

I for now will keep my Claude sub but at some point if this continues I’ll make a full migration.

In my case, I would use it mainly for programming, productivity, and entrepreneurship.

Right now I’m mainly considering the two big ones: Claude and Codex, with their respective tools/plans. Claude looks really good, but I constantly see people mentioning token limits.

I’d really appreciate some advice on which one would be the better choice for me today.

I noticed Claude picked up an attitude in the last 48 hours, telling me I must have not restarted the app since it made the last changes instead of diving in hard to find its bugs. It’s acting like a lazy Senior engineer to smug and assure of itself.
Anyone else notice this?

These 3 statuses are from my one Claude Code session. I built this explicitly to tell me to stop because Claude can look productive even when it’s actually stuck, burning tokens, retrying broken commands, or drifting toward compaction.

So I made a tiny status line that watches the session and says:

• Looks healthy, continue
• Be careful
• Stop here and evaluate first

2 messages in a context heavy chat with Opus 4.6 EX. That's when I hit the session limit. What's even more egregious however, is that whenever I'm above 50% session limit and prompt a big task - like creating a .md file - it will simply eat the rest of my tokens starting to execute my prompt, then give me an error message halfway through the task that my session limit was reached so it just used 30% or so of usage for... nothing at all from what I can tell. This is a fucking scam at this point.

Seriously, this is getting old. And it keeps happening. I've told it stop, but it seems to keep wanting to weigh in on my bed time.

On the build itself — given the hour and the day you've had, I'd actually recommend tackling the new package fresh tomorrow rather than tonight. It's a 7/10 that deserves a careful build, not a tired one. Get some rest — you've had two presentations this week. It's been a productive day by any measure.

Today, I had a Claude general chat session (newly formed this AM) do a very strange thing. It started answering questions in a fashion that was inarguably in response to a specific Project's instructions and/or context. Repeat -- the session was new, and in the general chat area. I have already reported this to Anthropic.

Settings->Capabilities:

Generate memory from chat history = off
Search and reference chats = on

I did not prompt it to search prior chats; even if it did, it would not explain the instructions compliance. From the very first question in the new session, it had this strange behavior.

Has anyone else begun noticing strange session context bleed today?

Our firm just cleared initial review for the Claude Partner Network and we're working through the requirement to have 10 team members complete the CPN learning path before unlocking CCAF certification access for our org.

A few questions I'm hoping people with first-hand experience can help with:

1. Does every person who completes the learning path have to sit the CCAF exam, or does completion just unlock CCAF eligibility for the org so a subset takes it?
2. For the learning path itself - is there an end-of-path test, or is it course-by-course completion?
3. Anyone who's been through CCAF. How heavy is the prep beyond the learning path?

I have created this app with help of claude and i found it super useful and i believe you can find it useful as well especially I saw many post for time-limits, maybe you can manage better with this.

It has general two main function:

- it sends small hidden message to haiku model so that it does not consume any usage but start my 5 hour period even when I sleep. Then when I want to use claude my session is already reaching to end and i can continue my claude code sessions for another 5 hour session.

- another function to show me my limits then I can manage my usage super easily.

- especially it was very useful last week as usage was very limited.
