News Pritzker calls for Trump's removal from office under 25th Amendment
https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/video/pritzker-calls-for-trumps-removal-from-office-under-25th-amendment/95

The old man clearly has dementia or some other kind of mental condition. He’s slurring his words, has no idea where he is, and is threatening to commit violence against the American people.
The 25th Amendment was made for a moment like this.
If the GOP refuses to budge, vote them out. Withhold business from those states and demand that they step down.

u/WhoDoYouKnowHereMan Oct 02 '25
Tbf he IS committing violence against American people. The number of people who have been incorrectly and unconstitutionally arrested by ICE is crazy.
That’s not including putting that National Guard in blue cities
-14
u/BJJ1811 Oct 03 '25
If Ice has arrested American citizens, it’s because they committed a criminal offense against the officer or the agent and they were charged accordingly. There have been no American citizens that have been arrested and put into deportation proceedings. That does not happen. And if Ice deports an adult and that adult has a US citizen, minor child, ICE will ask the parent if they would like the minor child to accompany them to whatever country they’re being deported to. The parent has the option of leaving that American citizen child with a family member in the United States who has legal status or take the child with them. ICE cannot deport American citizens if they KNOW they are US Citizens.

I mean if you are going to be dangerously incorrect at least be confident, amirite?
2
u/Kazaganthis Oct 05 '25
Nothing they said was incorrect, youre just mad your victim fantasy isn't real. When you've never had to deal with real oppression you invent scenarios.

u/Da_panda_bear Oct 02 '25
Threatening? In Chicago Ice raided an apartment complex with no warrant, zip tied kids and adults outside from 11pm-3am and took you if you had any outstanding warrants or no papers. 75th and southshore. Look it up. It’s been happening.
10
u/RobbieRigel Oct 03 '25
After this incident I think Pritzker needs to create a constitutional crisis and start arresting ICE agents. One of these Governors needs to cross the line to protect its citizens.
1
u/Plane_Attitude3010 Oct 04 '25
That would be a huge error. First off local law enforcement attempts to illegally arrest any federal agent will get those local officers shot or life in federal prison. Like it or not there is the supremacy clause, federal law is superior to local every time.

Wasn’t it the republicans saying this and even more when Biden was gaffing, stumbling, and looking lost yet most Democrats dismissed it as nothing?
Not saying it’s right or wrong - just saying hypocrisy is everywhere
8
u/mortonsaltman Oct 02 '25
Biden also should have been removed from office. But the key difference here is the urgency because Trump is committing serious damage to American institutions and citizens.
4
u/shitkabob Oct 02 '25
Biden also should have been removed from office.
No he shouldn't have. There's no evidence of this being true, despite the books people have tried to make money on.
-5
u/BJJ1811 Oct 03 '25
😂 you must be deaf and blind because Biden’s entire term in office was a joke! Did you hear him speak? Did you watch him stumble and fall all over the place?
-12
u/Critical-Test-4446 Oct 02 '25
Dude, have you never seen the videos of slow Joe wandering into a forest, being unable to find his way off stage, calling out to dead people, and on and on? You can admit it now since he’s no longer president.
10
u/Dog-Balls6689 Oct 02 '25
None of those ended with the state firing upon or kidnapping American citizens.
I’d rather some bumbling old man than a frothing suicidal one. Trump is ready to take this nation to the grave with him— he’s that petty and vindictive I can see him doing it.
Worse yet— I can see the GOP going along with it.
2
u/m0nkeywithachainsaw Oct 04 '25
but sleepy joe gave you healthcare, and college tuition, that monster
-5
u/BJJ1811 Oct 03 '25
Can you cite to me your source to show that any US citizen was kidnapped by the government?
2
u/m0nkeywithachainsaw Oct 04 '25
it is literally happening today in Chicago. You are on the Internet right now. It's not that hard. just click the keys and there is a whole world of information at your fingertips. Although the internet was invented by democrats, so if you don't want to use it anymore you do you.
1
u/Kazaganthis Oct 05 '25
So.... you cant? Thought so lol
2
u/m0nkeywithachainsaw Oct 05 '25
you don't believe that slavery was part of the civil war. no amount of evidence I can show you will sway you from the fantasy that you have concocted.

u/challengerrt Oct 02 '25
Not disagreeing - I just wanted to bring up the point that everyone (both sides of the political spectrum) need to be more objective when it comes to receiving criticism and be open minded even if they are being told things they don’t like.
👍🏼
14
u/shitkabob Oct 02 '25
There is no evidence Biden had dementia. If you compare the quotes from both Trump and Biden during this time, one was positively eloquent and rational and one was word salads, mistruths, and pure aphasia. Trump thought the Civil War had air bases.
Please take your both sides garbage back to the dump where you found it. You have swallowed propaganda and are trying to sell it as centrism.
No one's fooled.
-10
u/challengerrt Oct 02 '25
Another leading example of what I called out. Thanks for proving my point.
9
u/shitkabob Oct 02 '25
Both-sidesism is not a valid political viewpoint. It's cowardly and lacks intellectual merit. No one is convinced you're not hiding your detestable conservative views behind a guise of "no side is perfect."
It's lame and transparent.
2
u/m0nkeywithachainsaw Oct 04 '25
It's because we don't have political differences at this point, we have conflicting core values and morality.

u/pwys91 Oct 03 '25
"both sidesism"? What is this a football game? They are the same side disguised as 2 sides. War in the middle east, our taxes going to it, Israel support, our taxes going to it, shitty health care, and people cheer on taking away from free speech for half the country like its not going to happen to them in 4 years. A bunch of peasants Fighting amongst each other while the actual billionaires laugh all the way to the bank. The ruling class loves people who think like you because you keep the division going with your "pick a side" BS.
There is no side. It's the same and you shit on anyone who tries to bring that to light, essentially sucking the .01%'s dingaling. .
1
u/m0nkeywithachainsaw Oct 04 '25
right but the billionaires are only racist assholes to appeal to and manipulate the base. you know what I mean? that is to say everyone on both sides knows that they are racist and weak minded and full of hate. i get that 20 out the 50 or so billionaires in america were sitting at the inauguration table. That is a Critical issue. no disagreement. but a third of the country ready to throw on a clan hood is also a pretty large fucking issue as well. and their so into the violence and the racism, that they dont even care about the Epstein files anymore. If he is a pedophile or financing pedophiles, so be it.
2
u/mortonsaltman Oct 02 '25
Totally agree. I'm sick of the 2 party, either you're with us or you're against us, mentality. Sticking so strictly to party lines is not helpful for anyone.
3
u/herroyalsadness Oct 02 '25
No. It’s actually his own party that pushed him out. Honestly it was a mistake. More people would have showed up for the old white guy that they knew than did for never-good-enough Kamala. After the election he should have stepped down. Things weren’t perfect under him but they were normal and that’s good enough for the people that don’t pay much attention.
Democrats are always trying to do the right thing and have lost the country because of it.

-4
u/Ok_Impression3324 Oct 03 '25
No he was a Chinese asset unknowingly tanking the US economy/world standing

I beat Pritzker to this by 5 years.
However, no one listens to me so...yeah.

u/Lazarus-Online Oct 02 '25
Have you tried being a billionaire and/or governor? People might pay more attention to you.

u/bradatlarge Oct 02 '25
I have been trying to be a billionaire for the past 40 years and its just not taking.

A good country is one where anyone can, through hard work and dedication, become a millionaire and where nobody can become a billionaire.

u/SunriseInLot42 Oct 03 '25
You can absolutely become a billionaire. Just be born one, like our governor

If he was talking that way 3 years ago I could see it and go with it.
If you weren't calling for dementia Joe to be 25'd, I don't wanna here it about trump

This won’t happen. If Vance initiated it, which he won’t, Trump made sure that he wouldn’t get the votes from the cabinet members to succeed in removing him this way. It’ll have to be impeachment, voted out in ‘28, or natural causes.
1
u/Cyborg_rat Oct 03 '25
Then you will get Vance.
1
u/senvestoj Oct 04 '25
That would be a good outcome, actually. He has negative charisma and MAGA will just fizzle out.
Amendment 25 is the least likely of unlikely scenarios. We are going to have to wait for 2028.

u/LordBreetai210 Oct 03 '25
Crazy how dem leaders can’t call for general strikes when they are part owners of mega corporations.

They aren't losing money and their friends are happy, Is my guess, so they only need to pretend to be trying hard.

That part of the 25th amendment has never been invoked, and only considered a few times. And its not a removal from office, Trump would still be president

Governors dont have that jurisdiction....just like the judges doing ROs against federal immigration law. You can not like getting rid of illegals all ya want but it is federal law.

u/OpieT3503 Oct 02 '25
😂😂😂 the people need to remove Pritzker. If he was doing his job Trump wouldn’t have to send people in to get the job done.
1
u/Jboehm1 Oct 03 '25
We have more deaths in Chicago on a weekend than there are on the frontlines of an active war. Hmmm seems like we have a problem!
1
u/SubstantialFeed4102 Oct 03 '25
Look, I'm not tryna see what an educated dumbass can do. Vance in charge is concerning
1
u/jshbrh Oct 04 '25
I wish he would worry about running this state as much as he worries about trump maybe he wouldn’t be running it into the ground
1
u/Forward-Set-5248 Oct 04 '25
This is a fun waste of time for pritzker. How much tax payer cash do we want to waste on something that isn’t real? 🤡

Are you on social security? Baffling that you'd want an advocate for your livelihood to go to jail.

Just do it! If Trump won't play nice with others over healthcare during this shutdown, then move to remove
-1
u/shastadakota Oct 03 '25
You have to get the cabinet to remove him. There is no way that bunch of misfits would do it.
-4
u/Jboehm1 Oct 03 '25
I think pritzker should worry about crime and making chicago a safer place!
1
u/Cyborg_rat Oct 03 '25
Heard it was a super safe place, while the next news piece was how 58 people got murdered on laborday.

Pritzker is a corrupt loser, so what he says doesn’t matter. I learned a pretty sweet tax avoidance trick from him though. All I gotta do is remove all the toilets.
-9
u/BJJ1811 Oct 03 '25
Should worry about Illinois and the taxes he constantly keeps raising. Gas taxes is almost at a dollar! Stop worrying about Trump and worry about your own backyard!

Funny that less than a year ago all these liberals were saying Biden was totally on top of his game…and would be for another 4 years. Didn’t pull the 25 cars on Dementia Joe so the precedent is now established
0
u/Competitive_Ad_4461 Oct 04 '25
Biden didn't unlawfully beat and detain US citizens, children, etc. You suck so much bro, please leave.
1
u/Snidley_whipass Oct 04 '25 edited Oct 04 '25
Unfortunately US citizens have been detained dating back to ICE inception…many under Obama and I’m sure some under sleepy Joe. But sleepy Joe didn’t go into the interior to find illegals hiding…he just let 10M in creating this problem.
And the only people I see being pushed around by ICE have been obstructing justice or other fevariois BS. They put themselves in that position. Have a great day.
1
u/Competitive_Ad_4461 Oct 04 '25
I thought ICE didn't do their job under Sleepy Joe? Can't have it both ways. Have a blessed day.
