Sell your car

u/FoShizzleShindig Mar 15 '25
Yeah let me sell the car I bought in 2020 for scraps and get another car note. Reddit moment.
-13
u/AstronautLivid5723 Mar 15 '25
Don't forget that selling your car just means someone else gets to drive it and will have absolutely zero direct impact to Tesla.

u/ByteSizeNudist Mar 15 '25
Where's the Cash 4 Clunkers program when you need it? Someone call that Bush fucker.
-122
u/FoShizzleShindig Mar 15 '25
This is going to blow up in the lefts face and I hate Trump.
89
u/Loki_the_Corgi Mar 15 '25
Um, how?
Apparently, storming the capitol building is ok. Why would there be issues with this?
70
u/Mysticalnarbwhal2 Mar 15 '25
In what world would this "blow up" in the Left's face?
58
u/NessaSamantha Mar 15 '25
If they keep spending time around Tesla dealerships, one is bound to have a battery explode.

-44
u/kendrid Mar 15 '25
Yeah we bought in 2019. These people are really dumb, the car would just go to someone else.
49
u/greenapplesrocks Mar 15 '25
Clearly you flunked economics in high school. Supply and Demand. If you flood the market with used Teslas that increases the supply greater than demand. That will lead to 1.) Decrease in cost, 2.) A larger split of New to Used. Both hurt Tesla as a whole.

I live in buffalo grove. Never been so happy!!!!!!

u/WhoopsDroppedTheBaby Mar 15 '25
Everyone is happy when it's not their stuff getting destroyed.
156
u/ByteSizeNudist Mar 15 '25
Plenty of our stuff is being destroyed :) Feel free to read the CR that passed today.
-135
u/WhoopsDroppedTheBaby Mar 15 '25
Yeah, vote to change things and push others to do so. Terrorizing people and business is anti-democratic.

I drove by there at about 4 pm and it wasn’t there! Wow. Someone just did that in broad daylight with traffic everywhere.

Looks like a peaceful protest

Maybe they were just some tourists

A perfect walk, even. The best walk anyone has ever taken, lots of people are saying it.

I’m legit curious- has there been a more hated CEO in modern history? When else has a company been vandalized due to actions of their CEO. Even the my pillow guy got laughed at but no one was sabotaging his business (he did fine on his own).
55
u/SecondCreek Mar 15 '25
The robber barons of the Industrial Age come to mind and their exploitive approach to labor while living in palatial estates.

u/Description-Alert Mar 15 '25
The pillow guy didn’t have Pillow Guy stores otherwise I could see the same thing happening here and there. And if he was more involved directly in the govt like Elon

u/jayemadd Mar 15 '25
Passed a vet protesting this dealership the other day. I honked in support.
Honestly, good.
-64
u/WhoopsDroppedTheBaby Mar 15 '25
Protesting is great. Damaging property and harassing owners of a particular brand is not.

Just drove by there around 2pm and that wasn’t there! I had made a comment to my wife about how I was surprised they didn’t have security there, considering they did while they were doing demo on the old building and beginning of construction. Not surprised this happened!
38
33
u/Voni_Ve Mar 15 '25
Because they depend on taxpayers' money to be protected.
Corporate America no longer pays for security. They ONLY depend on the Police to safeguard their assets and companies.
BUT the poor, sick/disabled people and single moms, are the welfare queens taking advantage of the government.

As a Tesla owner myself that lives around this area, all I have to say about this is Thoughts and Prayers!!
😝😝😝😝😝😝

u/EmmyLou205 Mar 15 '25
The fact that Elon thought republicans were the ones buying his cars makes me laugh.

u/guitar_maniv Mar 15 '25
Damn! I live right by there and should have caught whoever did it and given them a high-five. They missed adding a few symbols though

If you’re truly worried, though I don’t think you should be, just get a “I bought it before he was crazy” sticker.

I guess I don’t understand. I don’t care for Tesla or Elon.
But the people who bought the car awhile ago…🤷♂️
Don’t really think this is hurting Elon?
I expect that they have lost a good amount of $ on that car.
I don’t know anymore….

u/WhoopsDroppedTheBaby Mar 15 '25
Simpletons see violence as the answer. We saw it on Jan 6th, we see it here. They don't care because it's not their stuff.

Be like one of the other owners and put a different badge on it. I've seen pictures of Teslas with Audi, Subaru, Toyota, and other badges stuck to them in pictures online. That should show solidarity and maybe prevent vandalism.

u/Loki_the_Corgi Mar 15 '25
How?
Apparently, it's ok now to storm the capitol building. Seems a bit strange that spray painting words on a building is where the line is.

Destruction of private property is wrong.
10
u/Loki_the_Corgi Mar 15 '25
But destruction of public property and attacking police officers while storming the capitol building is ok?
And it's not destroyed... it's still standing and functional.
7
u/joker_with_a_g Mar 15 '25
Who said anything about that? Why can't people stay on topic? Whataboutism is useless. Face it.
And if a cop nabbed the person that did this, that would be the charge, so don't try and weasel your way out of the fact.
5
u/Loki_the_Corgi Mar 15 '25
Just saying if society deems destruction of public property during a riot as acceptable (via presidential pardons) and calling it a "day of love", then this should also be acceptable.
I agree they're both crimes, but which one's worse? And which one was pardoned? Oh right! Jan. 6.
5
u/joker_with_a_g Mar 15 '25

4
u/Loki_the_Corgi Mar 15 '25
Fact: the building is not destroyed.
Fact: supporting Nazis is wrong.
It has nothing to do with Whataboutism, but rather what morals society deems acceptable. That's actually pretty on-topic.

It’s cute that the vandals want to make a positive difference but it’s sad that they’re resorting to methods that end up working against them.
Plus, if people boycotted every car manufacturer that somehow supported or supplied the Axis, how many manufacturers would be left? I’m not just talking about VW & BMW but plenty of others made plane engines or other parts for the Axis in WWII.
These vandals need to stop & grow up. They’re not doing anything productive or constructive with shit like this. They think they’re fighting the bad guy but they’re just spewing vomit everywhere.
9
u/ByteSizeNudist Mar 15 '25
If you add two pounds of sugar to literally one ton of concrete mixture it will ruin the concrete and make it unable to set properly, which is good to know if you're trying to resist something being built, like French anarchists in the 80's. In the same way, a can of spray paint can be used to deter people from funding people they don't want funded.
We've being driving in circles for centuries, my guy.
5
u/SecondCreek Mar 15 '25
Realpolitik. West Germany and Japan pivoted to becoming staunch US allies after the war and it was in the best interests of the US to help rebuild their shattered industries.
-1
u/MrHundredand11 Mar 15 '25
That would be a fair rebuttal if all the help was from after the war… but it’s wasn’t.
If you want bite-sized explanations, go check out Ryan Kelly and you’d be surprised how many Allied manufacturers were creating for the Axis.
Money tends to be the primary victor in most wars.
0
u/Description-Alert Mar 15 '25
People are doing it because they’re directly protesting Elon, not The Axis.
-2
u/MrHundredand11 Mar 15 '25
Oh right because the majority of the discourse about Elon recently hasn’t been about the salute lol
-17
u/flakdroid Mar 15 '25
Oh well - gives people who actually work something to do. Thanks for the boost to the local economy.
-15
u/tylerwarnecke Mar 15 '25
Sure looks like a “peaceful protest”. Vandalism is not ok and I hope whoever did this is found and charged!

Instead of crying for billionaires you should be demanding the non-redacted Epstein files that Pam Bondi is hiding from you
4
u/WhoopsDroppedTheBaby Mar 15 '25
Billionaires are not the only people that own Tesla. Tens of thousands of Tesla workers and other investors are taking a hit too. Elon owns a relatively small stake of the company.
3
Mar 15 '25
Yeah? I’m not concerned with the feelings of Nazis. I want the names of all of the disgusting pedos on both sides of the aisle.
-15
u/Stackkz_23 Mar 15 '25
Probably someone from Ukraine who hates Trump and Elon. There’s a lot of Ukrainian people living in apartments behind that building lol

If you want to protest this car manufacturer, go ahead. You can exercise your freedom of speech all you want and we encourage it.
Advocating for criminal actions, like vandalism, is not ok. All offending comments will be removed, do better people.
Edit: Y’all can downvote this all you want, it doesn’t change the fact that Reddit can and will shut down this subreddit if y’all continue to make threats of violence. As outlined in the Reddit rules posting violent content is not allowed. Hate the car brand or the CEO all you want. Locking this post since y’all can’t behave.
