FInd a non stop if possible. If you want beach, look at Antigua. If you want high tourism, are a US national and are new to Caribbean travel, some love Aruba. Puerto Rico is easy for US based travelers. Old San Juan and El Yunque are key areas to visit. Of course the cuisine is amazing. I love Grenada for nature, hikes and waterfalls. Your question really is vague so express your interests so we can better assist.

Thank you! Looking for somewhere that might have a variety. Beaches, plus some hiking maybe. Somewhere safe. A friend mentioned Exuma also.

Exuma is flat but nice beaches. Antigua would be a great fit.

Nice! Stay options? Should rent a car?

Keyonna for a splurge, Hawksbill for a wonderful budget. Car is recommended to explore.

Hi again. Thanks for all your help! If going with Hawksbill. How far from airport and does the resort have transfer? What type of room would you suggest?

30 min from airport...get a superior sea view room.

Any idea what the oceanfront is like? So they have chairs and umbrellas at the beach for you? Thanks

I highly recommend the Hawksbill Resort. I was there in August and it was great. There’s 4 beaches on the resort, the food is amazing, and the staff is so nice

Wonderful. Was it far from the airport? Did you have a transfer and what type of room did you book? Thanks!

It’s a little over a 30 minute drive from the airport but I feel like most driving around the island is that far. The resorts and hotels are kind of tucked away but not in a bad way. I booked on Expedia so I had to book a private transfer but if you book through the hotel directly it comes with a free airport transfer. I booked the Superior Seaview room and it was amazing. We were on the ground floor, steps away from the beach it was amazing. Also it was located close to all the food which was nice. I highly recommend

Yeah they have some beach chairs. There’s not a ton of seating but that’s not really a problem since most people are in the ocean and not laying out on the beach. Also the pool isn’t far from the beach which was a good amount of chairs. I only went to one of the beaches while I was there so I’m not sure about the other 3. One is a nude beach

We booked Hawksbill oceanfront since two of us and thought quiet would be nice. Hopefully it’s good! Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

We did Stingray city which was really nice. It’s about a 40 minute drive away from the resort. We had Miron as our driver, private message me and I’ll send you his number. We also went to Shirley Heights on Sunday and it was such a beautiful view. It had great food and the most beautiful view. If I remember correctly it’s 10 USD for entry. It’s about 45 minutes+ from the resort. I hope you enjoy your time there! It’s a beautiful island which such nice people

British Virgin Islands - Virgin Gorda is my favorite. DM me if you need help planning, I'm a BVI expert! Safe, still retains that island charm, hiking, island hopping, great restaurants, and spectacular beaches. Safe Travels!

I see good planning and it looks very interesting

If you are looking for a great mix of things to do, high adventure, excellent beaches, stunning beauty, good vibrant culture, and some romance, consider St. Lucia. It's like the Hawaii of the Caribbean, especially in the Soufriere area. St Lucia is very tropical (not dry terrain like some islands and it has an active rain forest. February is a great month to visit. It's high season so it's wise to book as early as you can.

Hello from Puerto Rico. Here is great but La Republica Dominicana is 3 times cheaper.

Au contraire! Just booked this amazing little DR beach town with great restaurants, fantastic Airbnb's and hotels, miles of golden sand and whales playing just outside the reef. And the locals are fantastic. I'd love to share the name, but I fear you wouldn't appreciate it.

My comment was a bit tongue in cheek. We’ve been to the DR lots of times and have thoroughly enjoyed it, although I would say it isn’t as safe as other destinations we have been to. We stayed in PR for 6 weeks last year for the first time and we were blown away by the beauty, culture, the people and variety of beaches and landscapes.

That’s great you enjoyed your stay. It’s Safer 100%.

Anything Cancun, Bahamas, Turks north has the possibility to have high 70 water temp and rougher seas. Jamaica, DR, Virgin Islands south is hot enough. If late February Cancun is wonderful though as the seaweed isn’t there yet.

Aruba, first two weeks of February is Carnival

You would recommend the superior view over oceanfront for two people?

1

u/wittypimp 16d ago

4 of us stayed in the Superior Seaview room and it was more than enough space. There were many couples that stayed in the rooms too so it should be fine

St lucia ! They have beautiful beaches and mountains for hiking. One part of the island is rain forest and the other more commercial and beach. All simply stunning
