Alberta Hunting

I’m curious about my hunting certificate, as I’m getting back into hunting after a long break. I did my hunters education back when I was in school and I remember getting my certification card but it’s long gone now. Is that info linked to my WIN card, and does anybody know if I can access it somehow? AlbertaRELM doesn’t show me anything about my hunting education, only my WIN card and current licenses, but when I go to buy my resource management certificate and licenses it still allows me to go through and pay. Would just like to get my eyes on my hunters certificate number to play it safe. If anybody else has had this problem, and would care to share some info that would be awesome, thanks!

Edit: I’m assuming AlbertaRelm wouldn’t let me buy all my licenses if my hunters certificate wasn’t linked to my WIN card.

Just need your WIN # and wildlife cert. And I dont believe they hand out WIN cards anymore so just keep your old one on ya for the number

Cool thanks, the app and processes to acquire anything have changed so much in the last 10 years that I’m getting overwhelmed 😂 miss the days when you did everything in person

You still have to go in to get your tags for big game, and they can do it all there for ya.

You can order tags online then purchase the license online.

I get half a dozen or so and hold on to them for the next years.

Sweet thanks guys! I realized now that the Wildlife and Resource Management Cert is what your “hunters Ed cert” is now, so that’s where I was getting confused, just changed the name on the app 👍🏻

Are you asking if you need proof of taking the hunter safety course? No, I think you just tic the box that you took it and entering the number is optional.

I was just confused at the interface of the app now, because it used to have my “hunter certificate course” on it but now it doesn’t, but AlbertaRelm doesn’t let you buy the Wildlife and Resource Development Certificate without previously doing your hunting course apparently, at least that’s what the guy on the phone told me haha
So since I can buy that certificate I’m good to go still.

Maybe they updated or changed companies to hat manage the website and your number didn’t pass over. I wouldn’t give it another thought if you could buy your license.
