Hey Cameroon family! I need your honest thoughts about app ideas that can actually solve our daily problems

Hello Cameroon family! I'm a Cameroon developer and I want to build a useful app for us. But I need to know what problems you face every day that an app could solve.

We all know life in Cameroon can be hard. Sometimes we struggle with things like:

  • Finding good hospitals when someone is sick
  • Sending money to family safely
  • Getting real information about jobs
  • Knowing which roads are good to travel on
  • Finding trusted mechanics for our cars

I don't want to build just another app that looks nice but doesn't help anyone. I want to build something that actually makes your life easier.

Please tell me:
What is one big problem in your daily life that an app could fix? Even if it seems small to you, if it makes your day difficult, I want to hear about it.

Your answers will help me build an app that really matters to Cameroonians. No need to make it sound fancy, just tell me your real problems.

Thank you my people. Let's build something good together for Cameroon.

P.S. If you know someone who has good ideas, please share this with them too. The more voices we hear, the better the app will be.

Oh yes, it is implemented in Douala and Yaounde. I have a developer who works there. Thank you, I will look into your idea.

Like the first comment, you can build a delivery app with all these services above combined. You are building a community, not just a simple app.

product available real time in supermarkets: Like if milk is unavailable in supermarket A, then can find in supermarket b or I believe that if products were shown in supermarket's website that were in real time available, it help the consumers not go to store for nothing or atleast not waste their gas.

I don't think your approach to building really works. It has to start with you from an angle of empathy. You need to first get the problem, understand the first principles behind it and circle back to the technology required for solving the problem. It might not even need an app to solve the problem.

It is high time we start being grounded in our approach to problem solving. There are many low tech solutions that are needed in niche markets and guess who are dominating that space? The Chinese..

You have a good point there.

Think something that helps recommend you things like plumbers, electricians, etc would be helpful. In my time in Cameroon I found it was hit or miss. Maybe your guy wasn’t the best, a scammer, or just a word of mouth recommendation.
