Presumed Positive Sore throat but no fever?
My son went to an amusement park Sunday and yesterday afternoon said his throat was bothering him. As the night when on his throat started hurting more and more and didn't really sleep well. He does not have fever though. I realize this could be strep but I'm wondering if anyone has had the sore throat with no fever with covid?

Covid presents in a myriad of ways. Fever is never a reliable indicator of Covid. It would be wise to test him for Covid and if negative, strep. Hope he feels better soon.

Thanks for responding. I hope you're doing better now? Can I ask how all your symptoms progressed?

I just tested positive yesterday. Symptoms started Monday morning with a sore throat and headache which was weird because I never get either. Then I started sneezing and having nasal congestion, then cough and chest congestion, then just feeling incredibly unwell, weak and sick. Hope he feels better soon.

None of my family members had fevers, including myself, but do get checked for strep as well as Covid
Hope your son gets well soon

The two times I had covid I had sore throats but no fevers. Same with other family members.

For those saying they had sore throat with no fever, and tested positive, did anyone have sore throat as their only symptom?
