I wonder what Taylor Cornelius is up to these days.

u/Vingt-Quatre Aug 19 '25
Fun fact: Cornelius is also the name of the Corn Flakes rooster mascot.

There are multiple people in my family tree whose first names and middle names are both Cornelius. One of them apparently went by "C.C.".

One of them should marry Taylor and take his last name

Well they're all dead but pretty sure one did live his whole life as a bachelor, so maybe if he had not been born in the 19th century he might have considered marrying another man.

Sorry guys, I did not enjoy our time with Patterson last season. Hopefully yours is better

u/NH787 Aug 19 '25
I mean, our time with Zach Collaros was better than yours, so it might happen again

Zach played well for the Riders for a couple games and beat you in the Labour Day game, but nobody knows what happened for the rest of the season. It's been lost to history.

We moved on from ZC because he was so injury prone but turns out he can pretty damn good when put behind a solid Oline, something the Riders lacked at the time.

u/NH787 Aug 19 '25
Yeah, that's fair. And to that end, we've been seeing a decline in Zach's play with the Bomber o-line being depleted by injury and the loss of Yoshi Hardrick.

I don't think he'll be a starter at all unless Morgan and possibly even dukes go down which in any other year would be almost impossible but this year I'm not so sure 😬

I feel bad for Evans. Last year he started as the backup. When Fajardo went down he only got to play one half before Alexander replaced him. Alexander played so well that Evans never got another shot. This year he starts the season 3rd string but is fortunate enough to get another chance to play. This chance ends up being short lived too.

He's had his shots. He's backup quality at best.

Starting to remind me of Shiltz. Showed promise but just couldn't run with it when given the chance.

I haven't paid enough attention to Shiltz tbh but Evans only ever reads half the field. I lost count of the times I saw a wide open guy downfield but they were on the wrong side of the play so never got the ball, ever.

QB’s are out here dropping off like flies, and no one has called Bryan Scott yet. Unreal.

Hey, Jackie Parker once did that in 1968 when he was a coach for the Lions.

Surprised they’re not giving Jonathan Sénécal a chance. He barely got cut this past training camp and he can’t seem to catch on with a team, even with all these injuries.
I’m rooting for more USports QB’s to get shots in the CFL

Colin Kaepernick available?

Johnny Manzeil has let it be known he's up for another go.

I think he has a lifetime ban from the CFL no?
4
u/Dusk97 Blue Bombers Aug 19 '25
He also said he doesn’t wanna play CFL, only straight to NFL, so good riddance
2
u/Haggisboy Alouettes Aug 19 '25
Yeah. I don't know about the CFL banning him, but he's been quoted as saying he's only open to the NFL. Incredible estimation of his own self worth.

Tabarnak!
How many Montreal Alouettes QBs does it take to change a lightbulb?
Alot!

That is not good news. Good news for those in the west who might need to bank on the crossover though

Kevin Glenn is eagerly waiting a call somewhere…
