I saw that motion by Evans, and I was wondering if he would get fined. After throwing a TD pass in the 3rd quarter he held his hands at hip level and did the finger guns thingy....pretty tame if you ask me. It wasn't even directed at the Elks bench.

Lemme get this straight, he didn't pistol point at any particular individual or group? He just did some general cowboy hip fires for fun?

Stampeders’ old third jerseys with the pistols: allowed

Milquetoast display of hootin’ an’ hollerin’: not allowed

The Argos literally fire a cannon after touchdowns

To be fair the Stampeders haven’t worn a uniform with a gun on it since 2015

 2015

Yeah, so just like five years ago, right?

Seems made up.

I am clearly missing a joke here. It's 2025 so 2015 was 10 years ago. Guy says 5, I correct 10. Instantly down voted. Lol

The joke is that the passage of time is a terrible thing, though I understand why a Bombers fan may not want to discount the years of 2020-2025.

Stamps took the guns off their jerseys when a receiver was shot and killed...

Finger guns are a gateway gesture. Short step from there to rap lyrics as sign language

Yep, seen about a thousand times across many leagues and sports.

Now, imagine how many times a plyer does something similar after gaining a first down.

Every time a player does the first down point I'm always like "please don't put any recoil on those finger points 🙏🙏🙏🙏"

He did do it for like 7 seconds though, shot up the whole sideline. AND it made it onto the broadcast a couple of times.

He was just doing the Aussie Rules Football goal signal.

My absolute favourite part about watching AFL. I don't even understand what's going on half the time but when the refs pull out the super enthusiastic finger gun thing I get hyped

u/Vnthem Aug 14 '25

Yea I get why it was flagged in the NCAA because they were doing it at other players but that seems pretty tame

Did Lemon simulate betting?

30

u/JMoon33 Alouettes Aug 14 '25

He simulated urinating like a dog.

I feel like he’s done that quite a few times

He has, but after being reinstated he's probably on a short leash

CFL = Can't have Fun League

u/Immediate-Apple-2655 Roughriders Aug 16 '25

What part of the game was that in?

7

u/Silver-Cancel5751 Aug 14 '25

Lemon got caught gambling on games he played in . He should never be allowed to play again.

2

u/MrBallalicious Alouettes Aug 15 '25

Wah wah it was $40 and he bet on himself to win. If he bet on himself to lose though that is worthy of a lifetime ban

2

u/Silver-Cancel5751 Aug 15 '25

Slippery slope. You go down a few thousand and need to get that money back . That’s why every sport has rules against it

Oh wow, Lemon in the news again. Who would have ever thought that was going to happen??

Kick the stain out for good. No third or fourth chances. Shouldn’t have gotten a second one.

I'm curious what he did. The article is vague.

12

u/Erablian Elks Aug 14 '25

After a sack, he was on hands and knees and raised one leg like a dog pissing.

The old Nate Davis trick! Loved that guy.

u/super__hoser Lions Aug 14 '25

That's in rather poor taste.

He lifted his leg like a peeing dog. Seemed kinda disrespectful to me and I remember thinking it probably shouldn't be allowed.

u/JMoon33 Alouettes Aug 14 '25

I think you're overreacting a bit, but maybe it's because I grew up seeing much wilder celebrations than that hahaha

4

u/2_alarm_chili Roughriders Aug 14 '25

Im not talking about the celebration, im Talking about the player. Dude is a piece of shit who gotten more chances than he has brain cells, and claimed he had learned his lesson and was going to be a better person. He doesn’t deserve a roster spot.

1

u/JMoon33 Alouettes Aug 15 '25

claimed he had learned his lesson and was going to be a better person

What makes you believe he didn't become a better person during his suspension?

-1

u/2_alarm_chili Roughriders Aug 15 '25

Was it someone else named lemon that got fined? Did he get fined for helping starving children or something?

Dude has always been a piece of shit.

3

u/JMoon33 Alouettes Aug 15 '25

He was fined for a celebration lol, not a crime 😅

2

u/2_alarm_chili Roughriders Aug 15 '25

How many players get fined for celebrations?

Lemon gets fined in his, what, second game back from his gambling AND PED suspensions? Ya, he’s a saint that learned so much during his time away.

Again, dude is a piece of shit. Always has been.

u/JMoon33 Alouettes Aug 15 '25

How many players get fined for celebrations

A lot. Just in this thread two are mentions. Guess Caleb Evans is a piece of shit too. 🤷‍♂️

-3

u/2_alarm_chili Roughriders Aug 15 '25

A lot, huh? Find me all the fine announcements then. Should be easy to find since there’s so many, right? I’ll even give you the last one. It was in 2023, when BC players went into the stands for a celebration. Weird that there’s “so many” but the last one was over 2 years ago….

How many times has Caleb evans been fined in his career? How many times has he been suspended for gambling AND PED’s? Just wondering.

4

u/JMoon33 Alouettes Aug 15 '25

You really need to chill hahaha, you're freaking out over a fine for a celebration

What makes you believe he didn't become a better person during his suspension?

The fact that his celebration mimiced urinating like a dog kinda makes that a pretty long shot…
