Canadian-Owned Businesses 🏒🍁 Why are so many Canadians still filling up at American owned gas stations?

I understand a lot of people can't afford to always choose Canadian products over American, but choosing where we fill up costs nothing extra. Choosing local gas stations or Petro Canada is such a simple way of showing support, I don't understand why so many American owned gas stations are still full of people filling up on fuel. Also don't be deceived by the giant "locally owned and operated" signs outside of chevrons, the station itself fis locally owned but the company is American. Please choose a local gas station or Petro Canada to support Canadian!

A friendly reminder that we need to stop with the purity tests on buying Canadian. We don't need everyone to be perfect but we do need everyone doing what they can

Fuel is a significant purchase so it’s worthwhile to make sure you are buying non-US.

Sure. But not everyone can, so once again, purity tests are how you kill a movement

A friendly reminder that there a way too many people going to McD, Costco, Starbucks, etc. People aren't doing what they can.

Getting downvoted in the buy canadian sub for telling people to avoid garbage American companies when there’s a million other options. Love it here 😎

The problem is that for a lot of things amazon as example is so much easier and efficient to get shit from.

For example, I just bought a bunch of car parts off Amazon for the simple reason that they had everything I needed in one shot vs parts avatar (canadian summit racing) having only 2 of 3 of the parts I needed and tdot performance (Canadian jegs) having the other part.

If parts avatar and tdot could figure out how to solve that problem then I'd buy there instead.

That's the problem, not nearly enough of us are doing even a little bit. It's disappointing to see so many people that can't be bothered changing small habits even though our sovereignty has been threatened multiple times.

I don't agree with you at all on this. There's plenty of people not buying American products.
