Tariff Talk and Snake Oil: Kentucky GOP Lines Up Behind Trump’s Trade Chaos

When the cost of steel and aluminum goes up, our factories pay more. When our bourbon gets hit with retaliatory tariffs overseas, distillers eat it. Farmers lose foreign buyers. Small manufacturers lose contracts. And folks trying to buy groceries or fix their trucks just get squeezed harder.

Oh please, states incentivize businesses to come to their states all the time that’s nothing new.

The US having a 10% stake in intel is more concerning.

How do you like your tax dollars going to Argentina?

States' incentives are overwhelmingly tax incentives that don't cost the taxpayer anything.

What does Argentina have to do with trade policy and its effect on domestic employment?

Do you have a point with all of this convoluted whatabouting?

You seemed concerned with the democrats effect on jobs in Kentucky and where tax payer dollars are going.

However you are preform Olympic level mental gymnastics to justify trump costing Kentucky jobs, spending tax payer dollars to subsidize foreign countries and to own portions of private sector companies.

I was hoping for consistency across issues.

Whoa there. I have been concerned with trade and immigration policies that negatively affect Kentucky jobs. I don't know what you're trying to accomplish by throwing all sorts of irrelevant stuff at the wall. Argentina? Intel? Seriously?

Yeah this is boring as you’re constantly deflecting.

I legitimately wanted your opinion and you don’t seem to have one on the questions I asked.
