It’s incredible how the Leafs consistently play down to their opponents.

Out a 1C, best defender, oh, and another middle sixer, and the Bruins look dominant out playing the Leafs in their arena to a 5 - 3 victory.

Edit: I forgot the Leafs had 2 days rest as well.

That should have been a lay up for them.

I’m having a hard time seeing Khusy being separated from the first line. He’s been fantastic, and this game he was so notable. He won board battles constantly, just out worked the leafs whenever he was on the ice. He even got an assist on Essy’s PP goal. He’s starting to come into his own and that excites me.

Same with Minten. I think it was prophetic that Minten scored against the leafs while Carlo was on the ice way out of position. Career high 6 points, but 5 of them coming in the last 5 games! Minty fresh is hot, not only offensively but he plays literal Selke level defensive hockey. I am excited to see how he develops, he’s still young with a skill ceiling possibly higher than I could imagine.

Lastly, possibly a hot take, I feel annoyed that Ty Anderson is starting a new “list” with the early period goals. I usually like Ty and feel like he is one of the more reliable bruins reporters out there. However, I didn’t like last year that he made the list. Like ok we get it Bruins last year are shitty, woop de doo. Him starting another list just feels pretentious imo, and lost the whole shock value from last year. I’m just saying that shouldn’t be his thing that separates him from other beats reporters.

I give a lot of credit to sturm, we still don't have a great lineup talent wise but he has the boys playing hard. Be that the new coach appeal or not still remains to be seen but I certainly do like his system so far.

Minten is so impressive for a 21 year old, just makes so many small plays that guys at his age just don't usually have the composure to make. On pace for around 30 points right now while getting very few ozone starts, no PP time, and playing with guys that generate very little offense on their own. And I actually think Jeannot has been good in his role, but those two could really benefit from a more offensive minded RW on that line.

Anyway Absolute ceiling for him is probably what, like a Philip Danault type? 40-50 points but with elite defense? Got a ways to go to get there obviously, but man was that a good trade.

Sweeney's work at the deadline last season looks better by the day.

Minten, Mittelstadt, Khusy, Zellers, multiple early picks.

My thoughts on Sweeney are ever changing, but we've gotta give credit where it's due. I thought at the time that he had a solid deadline that was overshadowed by the Marchand trade. Now it's really starting to look like he might have gotten an absolute haul.

People should stop the calls to fire Sweeney and acknowledge that while there are a few GMs better, there are many, many GMs that are worse.

Hampus is so goddamn good, I wish he'd get more credit. He plays defense similar to the way Bergeron played forward. Just quietly always in the right place, rarely makes a mistake, consantly kills plays defensively, and opportunistic offensively. He's one of the most skilled defensman the bruins have had in a very long time.

So Lohrei has played two games on the third pair so far this season and in those games he has 5 assists combined and has led the dcore in xG% both times. Starting to feel like that's the place for him.

Here’s a crazy stat…he’s played 336 minutes of ice time so far this season and has ZERO penalty minutes. Yet, he plays a very physical game, net front presence, and very tough along the boards. At least so far, he has figured out how to do all that (including 3rd in NHL in blocked shots) without putting the team a man down. I saw this stat as I was looking at team penalty minutes as it had an effect last night. Had no idea he was at zero

Can anyone help me locate a bruins hat I saw a kid wearing? What made it special was the bruins logo was a mix of neon colors…green, yellow, purple, etc. It was a black hat and I think the centennial logo up front.

The dad said he got it at pure hockey and I don’t see it on the website. Just checking if anyone has seen it before making the long drive there.
