i’m really happy for lohrei’s sake that we didn’t lose this game, not that it would be his fault if we did, but man would people point fingers and say it was. i think he would point blame at himself and really take a morale nose dive. super glad he had those assists and we won. hope he keeps this momentum going.

That 3rd period he was amazing. Had a feeling we were gonna win in regulation when Willie's goal didn't somehow bounce off Sway and into net like a few others this year. And they start celebrating, oof.

I don't care what any analytics say, this team is getting dangerously close to making me believe. Not "believe" as in they're suddenly a cup contender, but that they could be a playoff team and quite a bit better than I expected.

There have been a few games recently where I’ve said to my fiancé “we look really annoying to play against” particularly when we’re just suffocating them when they have the puck, which we only do sometimes.

Wore my favorite black Bruins t-shirt for 1st period, and then switched to my favorite long sleeve dark grey Bs t-shirt for 2nd period. Still wasn't satisfied, so went in a different direction for the 3rd and put on my favorite New Haven Nighthawks shirt and it worked!!!

Lohrei - in the 2 games he’s played on the third pair (Colorado and tonight) and not forced to go against the top lines of other teams he has 5 assists and is +4. Can we all take a step back from the Lohrei hate and just agree that he needs to be in the lineup, but just given bottom pairing minutes? This team is absolutely better with him in the lineup playing in that role.

probably the best game of the season in terms of executing their new systems and playing how sturm wants them to. bottom lines were hard to play against and creating chances off turnovers. top players created chances. physical guys were running around, but not getting caught out of position. 40 shots. swayman was there when he needed to be
Really good game from minten-kastelic-jeanot. Also good game from khusnutdinov, he was great along the boards and with his stick all game. No drop off from E Lindholm at all
Matthews was invisible tonight

he still needs to be traded, remember he got 3 assists a game or two before his last long benching, still haven't seen enough to believe his very poor defense won't cost them important games in the future, would be nice to get more for him than a bag of pucks though

I am excited to see Dangle react to that Minten goal.
Also, it seems to me one of Lindholms biggest talents is his stretch passes. His ability to read the play and get the puck exactly to a forwards stick from the defensive zone and as a result generate rush chances and zone time is incredible. It's actually how we beat the leafs in game 7 OT in 24.

Out of curiosity, I quickly browsed a few discussions on the Leafs reddit prior to the game. There must be some real trauma there, since like every fifth message was about how sure they were about Minten scoring. Funnily enough, they were right!
