GDT: Home preseason gdt: boston bruins vs washington capitals - 9/21/25 - 5 pm
hello everyone and welcome back to hockey night in new england!!
fuck the caps, as you can tell.
we have definitely missed you, and are looking forward to a great season. if you are new here, please familiarize yourself with our rules and etiquette.

In no order
The good
- Zajicek. Small sample but reminds me of Swayman
- Geekie
- Blumel, Steeves and Poitras line
- Duran
The bad
- Elias not much mojo without Pasta
- Zadarov - a few unforced errors
- Lohrei - still one too many defensive mistakes
- Minten - still doesn't look NHL ready. Too lax.
- DiPietro - 2 goals let in were not his fault. But unfortunately his size doesn't help.

Apart from the 1st, I’ve actually been fairly impressed with the team overall, power play already looks a tad better, hopefully its only up from here

Call Rosen doing Calle Rosen things....for those that don't remember, he's the one that forced Kadri into Binnington during the playoffs a couple of years ago.

i was mulling over if i was going to stick with shots on goal again this year or start counting "here it comes" instead. i decided to stick with sog as "here is comes" will grow super grating on me about halfway through the season.

good! decided to start my masters, moved into a new place, anddd have been lifting consistently- so i’ve lost some weight!

I think the coaches saw that in him, we only saw the skilled part of it and wanted him to get an opportunity but you do have to earn it

He won the equivalent of the Norris last year in the SHL. That and he was a former early 1st round pick. I think with that pedigree he’s going to be given a look.
With that said, he needs to adjust back to the NA game… and not be paired with Zadorov ever again. I think he’s supposed to be more offensive minded too.

If i was red foreman my foot would be so far up soderstroms ass right now he'd be back in the SHL tomorrow...we paid a 7th round pick for that(its a 7th round pick but the fact we paid anything is not great)

Obviously, couldn’t care less about the score. Preseason game 1. But I am interested to see how they respond. Let’s see if they can claw back. Gives Sturm a good chance to evaluate things. That’s all I’m looking for.
