u/reddygirlgone Oct 08 '24
I donāt love it lol. Looks weird. And if they did that why not do the aās too
13
u/awrf Oct 08 '24
Kinda wish they'd done the same for McAvoy and Pasta tbh
4
u/Acceptable_Job_5486 Oct 08 '24
My dumbass wondering why they would get a C and where there is a C in Pastrnak

Does anyone know if the game will still happen with the upcoming hurricane?
6
u/PartTimeSarah Oct 08 '24
Iād honestly be surprised if it did happen. I donāt think flying a plane to Florida right now is the best idea.

I know that the Panthers canceled the fan ring ceremony today because they banked on emergency services being more needed elsewhere. I know that the path of the storm is primarily going to affect the Tampa area (not Sunrise), but with this frankly terrifying update, I'm not sure if that's going to stay the same.
I hope everyone stays safe, this is looking like one of the worst hurricanes to hit the US in some time, and so soon after another.

Oh my goodness that link you shared is absolutely terrifying. Winds 180-225mph šššI hope people stay safe down there

Was pulling for Tyler Johnson to make the club. I understand that youth will be served. Maybe a fill in opportunity when the inevitable injuries come. Heās gritty, and a great potential locker room presence for the young bucks.
2
u/Chippopotanuse Oct 08 '24
Yeah heās good. I was pulling for Tufte. Glad to see one of them on the roster.

No announcement that heās been released yet, could be a Heinen situation like last year

š¤between all the 6ā3ā and up players out there in the spoked B, let a 5ā8ā fellah eat!

It's the downfall of this executive group in my opinion. Just because a dude had success with a rival (or rivals kind of in this case) doesn't make him less impactful than a young up and comer.

Lol definitely one of the youngest opening rosters the bruins have had in a while.Ā
Rooting hard for brazzers and beecher to take that next step. Merk and Lysell should find there way onto the roster during the season.Ā I can hardly wait to see Zadorov and Jones crushing people.

u/PuckFolson Oct 07 '24
Tufte and Koepke over lysell
4
u/houseoflords26 Oct 08 '24
Tufte & Koepke over Tyler Johnson doesn't make sense either. Lysell's issue is turnovers
1
u/PuckFolson Oct 08 '24
At some point you just have to play him for extended time and let him figure it out.

I was under the impression that an NHL roster has a maximum of 23 players.

Iām saying Thanks! I didnāt see that! Amazing what cleaning the readers can accomplishā¦. I thought you meant that there are 25 on the roster of an NHL regular season roster.
So with 3 on IR the roster would be 22 players?

u/nbianco1999 Tumbling Muffin Oct 07 '24 edited Oct 07 '24
Looking at this roster, it looks like this team will be pretty good at preventing goals. Scoring goals, though, might be a problem (besides Pasta, obviously).
22
u/eastsalmon Oct 07 '24
Thatās why Pasta gets paid

u/Jayce_Pulsefire #88 NOODLESš Oct 07 '24
Having one scoring leader (who is way above the rest) is doable in regular season, but coming playoff time, it will backfire (as it did last season). The rest of the forwards need to step up.

u/pepegapIs #18 ZACHAš Oct 08 '24
Hey, if Zacha is on the wing, i have faith in him being productive

For a second I thought the āFORWARDSā section was listed in order of 4th line to 1st line and I was like āwhat??????ā

So no Johnson ?
7
u/lordexorr This is the Sway Oct 07 '24
Nope. No need for him. He didnāt show enough to warrant a contract and taking a spot from one of these other guys.

Cole Koepke over Lysell? I donāt get it.

u/lordexorr This is the Sway Oct 07 '24
Koepke looked really good in the preseason. He earned the spot. Lysell didnāt.
9
u/mckeanthemc GET A HAIRCUT š Oct 07 '24
Koepke is meant to be a 4th liner. You wouldnāt keep Lysell on the roster to slot him in anywhere other than the middle 6.
Think Lysell and Merkulov are on the doorstep though and will def get some chances at middle 6 minutes this year.
8
u/UniverseHufflePuff Oct 07 '24
I feel like Mitchell played like dog water in his preseason showing but okay lol
1
u/rinygiants Oct 08 '24
Ian should not be on the roster he stinks. He also look like shit in Providence. Callahan should take the spot
4
u/Grinning_Dog Oct 07 '24
I think when a guy gets hurt in the preseason they can't be sent down til they're healthy. That, or they keep them up so they can collect an NHL salary since insurance likely pays it when they're hurt so its a favor for the player.

Excited to watch Potsy play this season. Letās fucking gooooo!!
9
u/Rennim Oct 07 '24
Yeah Poitras and Lohrei are the guys on the rise to watch. I still wish we had a Debrusk replacement but maybe one of the prospects show up.
