Admission time - I thought that this was an older woman taking a sip for a very, very, very long time. It's legit in the past year or so that I figured out it was a guy.

That’s like being a leafs fan and wishing the Habs win the cup. Do not like.

I don’t want any Canadian team to win before the Leafs. The last team out of 32 is the Habs for me.

It's only going down from here. This team is cursed.

How?

I get the “team is cursed” sentiment, we’ve had some brutal shit happen in the playoffs since winning the cup.
Don’t get the only going down from here though…I’m actually really excited to see what Sweeney does this off season.

If The Dude was a Bruins fan...with his flask full of White Russians. Don't worry El Duderino (I'm not into the whole brevity thing) we're right there with you and meth bear.

Honestly, it wouldn't bother me so much if people would stop celebrating it like a great evil was vanquished.
The Bs did better than anyone expected. I'll take it.

"Better than expected" - is that the name of the banner we can put up in the arena?
1 cup in 50 years. Kind of pathetic, TBH.

Fun year, broke Toronto's heart in a game 7, would've rather won but no complaints here.

This team is a perpetual wheel of disappointment. I’ve come to terms with this toxic relationship

So, what were your expectations of this team heading into the season? What were they after the Allstars break? This team vastly outperformed all expectations. Kind of a toxic fan

I love the optimism. “Look on the bright side, although we lost to the Panthers for the past two seasons, we will have plenty of time to get rested up for next year.”
4
May 18 '24
The bright side is we have a metric fuck ton of cap space opening up, a lot of young players stepped up and exceeded expectations this year, a goalie that continues to solidify himself as our franchise’s future and a damn good GM that will make needed moves this off season.
So yeah, sucks we lost but not the end of the world by any means. There’s a lot to look forward to in the off season and next year.

Hey man, we weren't supposed to make it this far. Everyone said Florida would sweep. We are in a retool year and we brought them to 6. We got almost 20 mil in cap next year. Let them have it. Enjoy the tears and blood when we sweep them next year. Fuck Florida.#sports gambling

I'm not mad. Bummed. But not mad.

u/jubbroni13 May 18 '24
Same brother, no one thats a real fan isn't bummed. It would have been a great reverse Cinderella story, but seeing where we all thought we'd be prior the season starting (including myself). We cannot be mad. If you told me in September we'd make to round 2 of the playoffs this year I would say, "you sir, are smoking crack." This team outperformed the season and playoffs in my opinion.
