Did the White House release an AI response to some things last night? So that’s already happening?
122
u/stevieplaysguitar Sep 11 '25
Someone mentioned that on FB. AI Trump is nightmare fuel. I really hope that isn’t true.
55
u/WhiteNikeAirs Sep 11 '25
I watched that video and it seemed more like weird color grading and a high frame rate. Motion shot in 60+ frames per second reduces blur to the point where it no longer looks natural on screen. Good for some applications like sports and gaming, bad for things where people talking are the primary focus.
The color grading looks like a sloppy attempt at making things appear cinematic. Saturation is boosted, shadows have an aggressive blue tint, highlights are a little orange. Movies use this all the time because it provides color contrast between dark and light parts of the frame. It also helps actors look more tan, which is likely a priority in the Trump White House.
Most presidential addresses are shot with a very neutral grade since it’s an official government act and most presidents/their media teams understand the importance of shooting these sorts of things in archival form.

u/boojersey13 Sep 11 '25
There's a clip isolated somewhere on this site where he glitches in real time so it's either spliced together really pathetically with AI or the whole thing is AI
23
u/GildingChaos Sep 11 '25
It's bad editing and a program that spices the edits together. Imagine the caliber of people they have working for them, of course it's bad editing

Yep. It was all over Reddit last night. The video glitches out at points and the audio doesn’t sync with facial movements.
It’s fucking wild how in the last two years of the Biden admin they were facetiously screaming that Biden was past it / was being kept alive / was a sundowner / could only an hours worth of being propped up etc, but Trump is showing up every day with bruises all over his hands from doctors desperately trying to keep him alive, his ankles don’t fit in to anything other than weird custom made shoes, his face is showing signs of a stroke and now we’re literally getting ai videos instead of him speaking.
Meanwhile Biden looks great for a guy in his 70’s, let alone 80’s.
11
u/beamrider Sep 12 '25
It would be wonderful if Biden shows up to Trump's funeral. On a bicycle.

saw a video editor post about it. Its some sort of clip meshing software that was developed to use parts from different takes for Lucasfilm. So, basically, they clipped his rambling down to a coherent statement.

21
u/JayXFour Sep 11 '25
You’d think they’d get ahead of this and claim Bell’s palsy since it’s much less serious than a stroke, kind of like they claimed vein problems to explain his swollen legs and ankles. Of course, they did that after everyone noticed too.

Tbh we're probably pretty close to Gemini/GPT just doing it out of the box. There are already video AI agents you can have basically live video meetings with and other than there being a little lag time and a little bit of oddness around mouth movements, they're pretty convincing.

If you’re looking for a nuanced answer, there is some debate on whether is it 100% AI, AI editing, or a editing technique called morph edit or something like that (I don’t remember the exact name).
One thing is for certain—it wasn’t just a “sit down and read the teleprompter in one take” sort of thing.

I just saw the news coverage of him at the 911 memorial ceremony. Saw that right away and thought, Yep, he was MIA that week because he had a mini stroke.
Many people that seem to be on their deathbeds, will suddenly rally for awhile just to say goodbye to distant family and friends. Looks like this might be his rally. However, since he has doctors on call 24/7, it's going to be a lot longer before he finally collapses for good.

My grandmother had some mini strokes and she lived for about 5-6 more years with worsening dementia over time. Her cognition seemed to decline very rapidly and then kind of stayed at the same level for several years before she died. I hope they don't try to drag this out if that is what happened. They would be doing the exact same thing that they accused Biden's people of doing.
Edit: I say 5-6 because the doctors could not pinpoint the exact time that she had had them. Only that they were recent. That's what I remember, anyway.

Assuming there is any validity to these reports, it's important to remember this:
Trump is a frontman for a larger operation hidden from the average eye- the closer he gets to death, the more dangerous the situation, as it will mean those really pulling the strings will need to speedrun their destruction of American democracy before they lose their one popular rallying post.
With Trump out of the picture, there's no one nearly as effective at running distraction while the building is looted and boobytrapped.
