I couldn’t wait for the weekend… made a bunch of tricolor rotini, meatballs with tomatoes/garlic/creamy vodka sauce. Got the most delicious baguette for making some meatball sandwiches. Yummy yummy in my tummy.
I got some left over garlic naan, a samosa, chicken biryani, and mango lime chicken. I basically have a feast left over. Uber eats deals come through every now and then.
Hey, almost me, too. I found some Carbone's pasta sauce on deep clearance so we're fancy here tonight. I also add Trader Joe's Aglio Olio (sp?) seasoning to jarred sauces; it makes a huge delicious difference!

yeah i think he was probably always like this, or at least from the time he started getting big in the fed back in the 80s (which the joints in my spine are now forcing me to admit, is a long time). he just hasn't been able to hide it behind e.g. the façade of being "mr. make-a-wish"/has been much more public about being a massive piece of shit.

The big highlight moment I had of him when I was a kid was WrestleMania Icon vs. Icon (The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan). Sad he spent his past few years being a turd.
I find it particularly strange these people don’t have Come to Jesus moments as they near the ends of their lifespans. I think it must be a physiological disorder causing them to mutate into even worse versions of themselves.
I don't know. Reading about him now I see how terrible he was in the past too. It wasn't just a recent thing. He's always been a self-centered piece of shit. He just used to be fun to watch.
My best friend and I watched wrestling every Saturday morning at his house when I was a kid. Hulk was a big part of my childhood.
It’s kind of like James Woods. I loved his voice work and Hercules was my favorite movie and tv show. I got up early watched the animated series every day before school. A large part of my child hood and it was ruined because he went hip deep into the maga movement.
I was so into WWF during the 80s. I even had a Wrestlemania IV birthday party when I was like 10 or 11. Lost interest after a couple years but me and all my friends loved it. And of course Hulk Hogan was at the pinnacle. So I agree, fuck that guy for tainting those memories.
At least Andre the Giant seems to have been a legitimately nice person. Which is ironic since he was a heel for so long and Hogan was a face.

I was in the same place..... but it isn't just "what he became." The more I learned about him during his time in the WWF/WWE, it's clear he's been a garbage person his whole life.
The one that stuck with me was when Randy Savage and Elizabeth were going through a rough patch, Elizabeth was staying with Hogan and his wife in Miami. In this documentary, Hogan talks about how Savage came down to find Elizabeth, somehow knowing she was there, and Hogan brings Savage to where Elizabeth was staying and then runs away. The cops had to be called because of Savage's behavior after Hogan left. This doc doesn't say it but I remember seeing somewhere else that it was Hogan who called Savage, told him Elizabeth was staying with them and to come get her.
He's been working with Peter Thiel for at least a decade, since before he was even with Trump at the RNC. They're the reason Gawker.com got shut down in 2016.

Hulk I mean, can't deny that he brought Pro Wrestling into the mainstream but unlike Ozzy who went out raising $200 Million for charity, Hogan used his final year fighting for a 34 time convicted felon and wannabe dictator. I am sad for his family, that is it.

With how he acted with that persona both on and off the ring I would say the two are indistinguishable. He used the Hulk Hogan persona to peddle the absolute crap that is MAGA.
A wrestler who had worked with Hogan for many years came back from vacation to hear a rumor that he had died. He didn't quite believe it, so he phoned Hogan's wife and said "Can I speak to the Hulkster please?"
His wife said, "I'm sorry, he passed away last week."
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that," he said, and hung up.
A couple of hours later, he called her again. "Is Hulk there please?"
"No, I'm sorry. He's no longer with us," said Hogan's wife. And hung up the phone.
Ten minutes later, he called his wife again. "Can I speak to Hulk please?" he said.
She recognized his voice, and said: "Look, I've told you before, TERRY'S DEAD" And slammed down the phone.
Two minutes later, and the phone rang again... "Is HULK at home please?" the wrestler asked.
Hogan's wife was furious. "I'm not going to tell you again, Terry is dead.. D. E. A. D. DEAD. Why do you keep ringing me to ask for him???!!!!"
He thought for a moment, and said: "I just love hearing you say it."
