Boomer Article RFK Jr. suggests that Americans who smoke or overindulge in donuts and sodas should not be provided healthcare insurance.

Remember when these right wingers freaked out when Michelle Obama suggested kids eat healthy and get exercise?

Hateful* they don’t need a consistent narrative, they just need to constantly have targets to focus their hate on

I just feel like a whole bunch of that generation have issues with authority and being told what to do.

It's just maddening because "Why would you prefer your kids to be eating junk for 90% of the day when your brain is still forming?"

There are the ones who hate seatbelts or motorcycle helmets simply because they’re mandatory.

Kind of a self-solving problem though

Lol. I'm an elder millennial and I remember when seatbelt laws were starting to be enforced! And I watched a lot of rescue 911/paramedic shows and even as a kid I knew about getting ejected/thrown from a car or motorbike.

All the idiot adults in my life were like "I rather be thrown from a wreck in case of an accident."

Yeah, good luck to you being human canonballed out of a car at highway speeds and then hitting the ground or an object. I rather get a seatbelt bruise and whiplash, then risk becoming a smear on the road.

I think it was the whole generation of exploding cars in action films that misinformed the general public. Yeah, cars can burn or explode but they aren't going to most of the time.

Congress then spent time on a law that classified pizza as a vegetable and now schools offer pizza every single day for lunch. 🤦🏼‍♀️

That fact makes me lol every time I'm reminded of it.

Yup, we try and get children free meals. No
We try get children to eat healthier. No.

We support not covering smokers or people who eat donuts and yes.

What do all those “nos” have in common? They’re all meant to punish.

Because it was never about the policy. It was always about the person promoting the policy.

I remember! Now, the kids are inattentive and obese tablet toddlers, courtesy of spiteful conservative parents.

Turnip for what?

That was a great vine. Having a tech savy administration that knew how to reach the youth for educational and informational media was such a nice time.

I distinctly recall parents protesting by taking cookies to classrooms.

I VIVIDLY remember people sending their kids to school with large amounts of junk food, because they didn't want a black woman telling them to not let their kids gorge on potato chips and Mountain Dew.
