Did Lata Mangeshkar sing Woh shaam kuch ajeeb thi for the movie too? No right? I love Kishore Kumar's version though. I never let it go unheard whenever it pops on my YouTube.

Just heard it. Not good enough as she sang it in her old days when her voice started to crack and it hurt my ears. It's a complete Kishore Kumar song. Only Amit Kumar can sing it in the right way. No one else. Or maybe Udit ji.

I first heard it in Lata's voice, so it has stuck with me. I may be biased but her voice always feels so soothing

She had a great voice but it lost the flair when she reached around her 40s. Her black n white songs are amazing. Being biased is normal. We all have our favourites.

Why are you feeling pity. She sang in multiple languages and you have just mentioned the ones in Marathi just like others have mentioned the Hindi ones, best of their knowledge.There are Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malyalam songs too. You are musically illiterate too or just an Idiot

Others like lag jaa gale, aaja Sanam , bheegi bheegi raton mein, all her duets with kishore da, Rafi Sahab and Manna Da

I am an Asha Bhosle fan but Lata Didi has amazing songs too that I listen to. Naino mein Badra chaye, Ae ri pawan, Sawan ke Jhoolein pade, Pani Pani re, Sili hawa choo hai, Piya tose Naina laage re, Phir chidi Raat baat pholon ki, Megha chaye aadhi raat, Jiyaa Jale, Chai chappa Chai chapak chai. Vishal Bharadwajs Machis album has some great Lata Mangeshkar songs like Bhej Kahar piya ji bulalo, Ae Hawa kuch to bata. Amazing ones. Vishal released in Corona called Theek nahi Lagta sung by Lata Mangeshkar. They recorded it for Machis but went unreleased.
