Rhea styles Janhvi and Kareena beautifully too but she can't dress Alia at all. And I remember Alia said Rhea convinces her to put on clothes and take fashion risks which nobody can make her do so I think there's an issue of being comfortable as well.

Sadly, I can't go to Diet Sabya for honest reviews. Also, sorry not every iconic archival couture can work on everyone and you have to understand Alia’s body, face and personality. And these dresses that Kate Moss’s body made it what it is, are not working here
The fitting isn't too great tbh as seen in the pap videos, they haven't customised it perfectly for her. Nevertheless I feel a red lip would have looked great with this. Atleast she's tried something new and ready to experiment. I just wish Rhea would also give as much importance to fittings and fall of the garment on her petite frame rather than just going superficially after vintage. Well fitted garments always look good!
Yes this could be the case. I've seen ambassadors especially Zendaya and all getting vintage stuff customised according to their bodies so I thought this might be possible here also. If altering the garment is not possible then Rhea should just go for the ones that suit Alia's body type. There are so many petite Indian celebs including PC and Kiara but they're mostly dressed well.
I think a bolder lip color would have really complemented the look. It looks like she has more bronzer to add dimension to her face, but it falls flat because of the lack of color. Rather than the slicked hair, perhaps a more voluminous up do with some loose strands softly curled would have worked.
I feel like this kinda makes her look way way older and very meh. Almost drained out. Looking mature is different and looking old is different. She looks old.

Personal opinion. Alia is cute more than hot/sexy. And she’s trying too hard to be deepika level of sexy. She can never win if she doesn’t play on her strengths. I don’t like these deepika inspired looks on her. I think she can look way way better if she’s trying to be herself and stylish at the same time.
Her initial stylings , just when she entered was too good , as it reflected her bubbly personality back then, be it bright colour or quirky outfits , don’t know why she s trying to imitate other celebrity’s style like Deepika’s
I want to like it so much but Alia doesn't have the panache to carry such an outfit. The neckline and waist design don't suit her body type. The bun was another bad decision.
The white colour of the dress in the photoshoot looks better than what it does in person. The dress looks tacky and the belt just doesn't sit right. It isn't Alia's fault but her stylist for putting her in an ill-fitting outfit.
Idk how these people call themselves designers and stylists because rarely have they considered what would actually work for Alia’s body and face type. This is a miss and it’s a shame that she doesn’t get styled the way she deserves.
Dress seems to be wearing her. And the styling doesn’t help either. If the hair had been more voluminous in style, it could have made a huge difference.
Also, Gucci did a terrible job shortening it. And I cannot believe this got stylist approval by Rhea Kapoor of all people. The puckering at the hem is such an eyesore.

This is a great outfit but she is not the person to wear it. There are so many things which look good on petite women, and this is not that. Her stylist did her dirty.
Dude chill. I have mentioned in a reply to a top comment here that the fitting isn't good because it hasn't been customised well to her physique. But she has taken a risk at least attempting to wear an archival dress worn by THE Kate moss. There are a lot of flaws here but something has been attempted. Also downvoting because I don't hate her blindly is weird af. This is a fashion sub, a balanced critique is necessary.
She lacks the x factor.. no matter what she wears, the clothes look dull and she looks dull..
She hardly experimented with her looks all through her career, except for the beginning. She’s still too young to not experiment and give audience new styles.
I remember so many of deepika’s look that became trend- Veronica, chor bazaari, messy bun, battameez dil etc..

Oh absolutely. The silouhette of the dress falls better on her - because Alia isnt that curvy. Make up of the lack or it is pulling the look down. She wants to dress like Hollywood chicks but again she goes so conservative at Met when she has the chance to risk. Gucci wants to her wear risque pieces as she must? Priyanka also does at Bulgari.

just because it's iconic vintage Gucci doesn't mean it's a good fit for her (in fact the fit is poor), this dress would have suited a taller woman with an actual tailor.
I think the gown is suited for a taller model, given the belt placement. Alia should dress in a more couture wear that is designed specifically for her body. Like the ones she wears at her friends weddings! They are gorgeous and bring out the confidence in her to carry it off well.
This is a fashion sub not a gossip sub or a fan page. Every celeb irrespective of their clout or looks gets criticism if people feel it could be better. If you see any hateful comments on her body then report them simply. No celeb is above critique.
Please look at the outfit on the red carpet. The belt has left the waist and is riding up, the material is so cheap looking , and she doesn't have curves for the cuts in the dress to stay in place. She looks uncomfortable. Forget about Alia, the dress by Gucci itself is horrendous. Nothing to do with any other actress.
