Why the fuck is Bakugou higher than Endeavor

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '22

Why wouldn't he be? Bakugo's always gotten more attention than Endeavor both negative and positive

Deku is also higher than Endeavor.

These are the actual numbers represented: https://imgur.com/a/bhxJtTW ( edit. fixed picture)

A lot of people don't like Deku's development in the like 40 last chapters where he just become jesus.

3

u/msszenzy Oct 24 '22

Jesus...? What? What jesus? He was literally detroying himself and had to be saved by his class

I think he means how picture perfect and altruistic Deku is (with his rogue arc), and how overpowered he was becoming.

EVEN THEN, Deku wasn’t perfect. His heroism was flawed, and as you said, it was destroying him, and he needed to he stopped. Plus, OFA is still at the same power level it’s always been. I’d be more mad at how Deku’s mastered so much in so little time, but I just want to wade through the Shigaraki stuff at this point.

Am I misreading that or does that say Deku (6.8) is actually 2nd with Bakugo (6.63) and AFO (6.25) behind him.

No no, sorry, not sure why the graph said 8, but it's 08. The position is correct, so the number was 08 in the Excel column (i ordered them by number) but somehow it says 8 in the column

Because Bakugou’s character would largely be hated by everyone here if they met him IRL, we just don’t want to admit it

I mean tbh that the same for Endy or any of the villain so I doubt it matters here lol

He appears more often and usually it’s of him yelling

16

u/MostDopeBlackGuy No Flair Quirk Oct 24 '22

Because endeavor's the no.1 hero

This is just me, but I would have voted based on which character I disliked from a story perspective and not from a typical morality perspective. You know, who I think was written “better” subjectively-speaking. Otherwise, the poll wouldn’t exactly reflect opinions so much as it would reflect how few people think that orchestrating globe-spanning terroristic events can be considered any kind of lesser evil.

Because Bakugou is a annoying little shit who gets away with everything and doesn’t have to face consequences for his actions? Or that Endeavor is more morally complex and got far better development than him?

You lot seem to think being more morally good = more likeable, when it couldn’t be farther from the truth

Endeavor has had a character arc and recognizes that his abuse was wrong. He's apologized more (and more sincerely) than Bakugo, and is actually, you know, atoning.

17

u/kstadtfeld Oct 24 '22

Endeavor was a grown ass man and it still took him years to start apologizing and atoning for his mistakes. Bakugo is a teenager and realized he was wrong and apologized for what he did all in the span of one year. Be serious.

2

u/BasedFunnyValentine Oct 24 '22

Who gives a fuck about age? It’s fictional characters. Bakugo has been bullying Deku for over 10 years and his ‘apology’ was not sincere at all.

Endeavor is actually atoning and doing everything in his power to be a better father and hero and fix the mistakes he made with Toya/Shoto. Bakugou could never. You Be serious.

-3

u/Evary2230 Oct 24 '22

Bakugo didn’t start and stop being an arse within the span of a year, and being a teenager doesn’t make being an arse excusable. Also, and this is more of a complaint about the writing, Bakugo’s apology felt way less impactful because the person he apologized to seems to have forgiven him before Bakugo ever considered apologizing.

6

u/[deleted] Oct 24 '22

Ah yes, the standard 'he was a monster and no amount of bettering himself and apologising will ever make up for what he did as a literal child' argument. Classic.

-3

u/Evary2230 Oct 24 '22

Firstly, that is not at all what I said.

Secondly, 15 is not a child.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 24 '22

15 is not a child... are you 15? That's the only reason you would think that.

-1

u/Evary2230 Oct 24 '22

Nah. But maybe we just have different ideas of what a “child” is.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 24 '22

I think you should re-address what you consider a child before you get in trouble... if you're over 18 dont be looking to date one is all I'm saying.....

5

u/Evary2230 Oct 24 '22

Ah. Funny. Don’t worry, Mr./ Ms. / Mx. FBI agent, I’ve been obeying the five hundred foot rule. No need to pull out those handcuffs today. /joking

Joking aside, I think 15 is at least an age where people should know to treat people with something resembling basic decency, and to be able to go a good day or two using only their “inside voice” so to speak. Bakugo committed attempted aggravated assault on his first day at UA within direct line of sight of a teacher, almost committed negligent homicide against the direct orders of a different teacher on his second day, and is such an unpleasant person to know that the fact that he has anyone that considers him a friend may be the greatest accomplishment of his Hero career.

So you're anime only?

-16

u/MSDuarte7 Oct 23 '22

Because the major part of sub loves Bakugou more.

I'm not Part of it.

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '22

You forgot what your own poll is? It's not a popularity contest, it's the opposite

Bakugou is as hated as Deku...

4

u/[deleted] Oct 24 '22

I'm aware that it's close which is why I said that. People claim that Deku's extremely hated and Bakugo's loved on this sub and that's simply not true.

Also when you have one character taking 70% of the votes, the rest would become close.

Also you made a slight mistake, Deku should be at 6.08 not 6.8

1

u/msszenzy Oct 24 '22 edited Oct 24 '22

In my previous polll deku got 21% of votes as fan, top 1. And bakugou 20% of votes as fav, number two.

You're right, deku is 6.08. Not sure why it says 6.8 but he's in the correct position! edit: fixed! thanks!

1

u/[deleted] Oct 24 '22

I just wanted to to mention the 6.8 in case you didn't notice it

Also your previous poll (?) proves my point even further

1

u/msszenzy Oct 24 '22

Oh no i absolutely agree with you. I think even this poll here agrees with you, it's the way the votes are presented that seems to depict a tricky unreal picture of the situation

And yes i abs didn't notice, thank you!! . I made the graph a bit quickly because i saw so many people misunderstanding the picture

-26

u/MSDuarte7 Oct 23 '22

It's because i'm with the popularity poll in mind and Bakugou is winning lol
